Model Engineering College often tries to create the impression that it is a government institution by adding "Government" to its name on their website, college buses, and other materials. However, on the IHRD website and KEAM Prospects, it is simply listed as Model Engineering College.
An artificial hype isn't new for the college-both the authorities and alumni seem to be working together to maintain it.
@@bojo- hype or not...Result matters ...They are rank #3 in the pass % of recent batch across all KTU colleges ... Same companies repeatedly come there to pick good students ...If it's only hype they cannot excel in these parameters that matter the most...No college can excel with so called "hype"......Pass out students career graph may be good enough for bright students keep joining there as their third choice filling after CET and GECT.....

I completely agree with your video and previous message, where you ranked Model Engineering Knowledge as the 3rd or 4th choice among students in Kerala, primarily for CS and EC. However, in many other occasions, there’s an attempt to compare themselves with NIT or CET, which I’m highlighting as the intention of a particular group.

NIT , CET is with no doubt much ahead of MEC in all parameters ...NiRF ranking itself clearly shows NIT in top 100 and CET in top 150...Model is not even in first 300 ...I think only the mention of highest placement package this year in the video comes to compare the offers NIT/CET students got. which again may not be a usual story every previous year. ..

I would say CET , GEC will score higher than MEC in EC placements ...I have not done much of thorough analysis though.

@@Markantony673 Going by last rank of 2023 3rd allotment....It's NSS EC....But then first you decide which subject you want to study of which college irrespective of subject. Then you can take a decision. MA College is the best among the colleges that you mentioned above.

@@anandhans7298 If you are inclined to learn IT and get a good job ...The option that matches your rank and aspirations is CSBS @ Model ....You will not get in Merit low fee , but will get in Merit full fee category. Pls ensure you select that option while option entry. ...Another good option ( after model csbs ) will be comp sc (data science ) at MA college kothamangalam and will be cutting very close to your rank
TKM is very good college but since you like to study IT with good placement opportunities , best is MEC CSBS
