#teamdonotsewthruthepaper !! Great lesson. Thank you
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for teaching me some great tips about creating flowers using hexies. You have a wonderful way of teaching!! Keep up the videos-love it.
Thank you so much Joyce!!
If you use a 3/4” pin, like used for appliqué, and pin it from the right side. It works much smoother. The pin doesn’t tangle the thread. I like to end where I started. It keeps the tension eaven
Great tip, thanks!
Beautiful work
Thanks so much!

Thank you! ☺️

I just baste the entire square around the hexie shape, and leave it. No trimming, No mess!! You are throwing away fabric that could be adding to the stability of the quilt, or whatever your pieces will be part of. Also, less apt to trim the seams too narrow, and essentially wasting that whole square. You can trim after basting, if you really feel a need to trim.
I just consider it a waste of time, and messy. Who is going to see it since there will be batting and backing fabric on the finished piece? 🤷♀️
Good point!
Liza is teaching us her way. Which I greatly appreciate. And, she is new to Y.T. Let us nurture her and her talents, rather than trying to "one up her"🥰
