Stupid question I know .. but what makes this machine a heavy rescue appliance?? Does this do what a normal
pump would do ??
This carries out all of the functions of a normal pump but carries additional heavy rescue equipment for use at large vehicle incidents. There are 7 strategically placed around Essex.

And not to be confused with the more standard Rescue Pump which carries RTC gear, but not the heavy variety used at HGV incidents. And I believe Essex's Water Tenders don't carry any RTC gear.... could be wrong.
@@YelpBullhorn generally they do carry some form of rescue equipment, but HRPs carry a greater variety of more heavy duty equipment such as larger holmatro machines, bigger low pressure lifting mats, and a scaffold platform.
@@UKFireResponsesan officer told me that they also have the means to provide shoring and scaffolding for unsafe structures.
