Been doing photography for more than 40 years. Last year I invested in a Leica M4 and a 28mm Elmarit lens. Best photography camera decision I ever made! Best ever!
very good points, I have Autism, and Photography / cameras are my special interest too; Yes i get what you say about getting a family member/s aboard with your hobby, and their questions about the money involved (good point: every hobby requires some money to do it the way you would desire to do it, everyone's desires differ and isn't difference and individuality meant to be celebrated ??).
One other point, if you need to convince anyone of the merits of ones hobby, try showing them the photos of the photographers who use the equipment you are proposing to purchase, and in the genre, of which you are also interested, ie: still life or street photography; the Bokeh alone convinced me of the merits of owning Leica's. (even if you take forever to save for the f 0.95 ; or even the more modest f 1.4 ; which are the main bokeh monsters of the Leica lineup).
You have a magnetic passion for Leica! I wish I could ask you questions! Thank you!
