感觉单纯因为这个题材现在有热度才做的reaction，对基本信息都不清楚了解就开始看。

I can see your perplexion so i'm gonna try to "enlighten" you. The Untamed is a redemption of a novel which is BL (boys love) so the story revolves around these two boys (so yeah, no girl 💃)
[A little "inside" of the two boys/story : the one with the headband, cold expression is Lan Wangji who's a discipline of the "virtuos path" (so the good cultivation path admired by everyone) while the other who smiles (the one at the start of the video) is the grandmaster of the "demoniac path" Wu Wuxiang (so the bad one who everyone depises/hate/fear even tho he's a cutie patootie ❤️ my baby ) so the story is about the latter getting killed and resuscitate in another body and starting his new journey in the virtuos sect (which is the place where they study to cultivate aka becoming immortals), re finding his past friends and the only person who always loved him indipendently from his path aka Lan Wangji].
Since China has a ban against BL and homosexuality in general, the directors tried an indirect approach to let the serie air so, they let out the explicit scenes as kisses but they were amazing in being able to still let that love shine underneath the whole action, supernatural, adventure themes. I've read the novel (2 times, yeah maybe i'll go for the 3rd) which is a masterpiece of writting.
The serie got HUGE (like really HUGE; i'm so proud that a BL serie got so much love 💖) not only in China but globally and seems that South Korea will do a version of it too.
