Darn! You have been an inspiration, Jerry - I returned to guitar building thanks to you. Thanks for all the tips and advice; I'll miss seeing The Rosa!, and your Chocolate series remains one of the best on the internet. So close to that 100k subscribers as well! Always hoping there'll be more. God bless you Jerry.

Thank-You Jerry. I so wished I would have brought you my Grandpa's Dobro to put new binding on. He passed it down to dad, and dad passed it on to me. I was 4 years old when dad taught me, "Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley, on one string." I'm now 70 years old. Thanks for all your video's, and you'll always get a thumbs up from me.

I can’t believe I’m reading this, and I’ll tell ya why. Not two days ago, I was thinking of what might be a cool song to cover in some way, and The Kingston Trio’s Hang Down Your Head Tom Dooley popped into my head. I thought “not many, if any, people would recognize that one”!
      Apparently I was mistaken 😆

I had planned to visit but I also have an old place that I always seem to be fixing (one end gets fixed in time for the other end to break). Thank you for the great information. I did finish the epiphone in part so that my son and grandkids would have an old great playing guitar around the house. The expensive guitars get put up and saved and the others get played by the family. Hope all is well for you & family, God Bless and keep smiling. Adam

Fascinating repair video -- including the view under one of the tuning machine rubber donuts.
I have a very similar mandolin (natural top) with no brand or model labeling, but it was ID'd as Chicago's Stromberg-Voisinet by Jake Wildwood in Vermont, who said he had worked on several, probably made before the company evolved into the Kay brand. He repaired some back cracks, set it up nicely, and sold it to me a half dozen years ago.
Meanwhile, thanks for your years of contributing to the education of players and luthiers! Best wishes on the next chapter.

I've been a fan of yours for a long time now.
Starting at about RSW 30 or so, i watched each and every one of your vids. You always got a thumbs up.
I started working on my own instruments as well, doing a neck reset on a 100 year old tipple lately.
Currently i'm repairing a dreadnougt, the top was split into thousend pieces due to an accident. Reminded me of your chocolate-series. The top is solid again, i could even save the original binding.
I also developed a deepenig interest in Bluegrass music.
A lot of your songs are really great. Do you consider making any new studio recordings in the future?
I'm looking foward to whatever topics you're going to cover, but nonetheless hope to see you working on musicial instruments one time or another.
    Thanks for it all.
    Dennis

Jerry, we have more than enough video here to do just about anything we need done to our acoustic instruments. More than enough.
I've always loved your honesty and work ethic. You've been an inspiration to many and you taught me not to fear trying to work on my own instruments.
Going boldly to the bench of repair and asking my tools to humbly participate in the endeavor We are about to partake. The instruments are willing to be redeemed from their brokenness and rely upon a workman's hands and wisdom to heal them. I take great faith in what I've learned here and now to honor you by what was taught, being a workman not ashamed to give it a go.
You have been a blessing to my musical soul all of these years... with your Southern charm and easy going temperament. I have much information yet to be gleaned from Rosa String Works in this wonderful format. You truly are a Genius .
May God bless you as you continue serving others with these Gifts He has bestowed you with.
May you find peace and rest away from the camera to do other things you richly enjoy. I pray for your health and family, who will get to see more of you.
I've made a decision to acquire my 3rd Mandolin...a 30 year absence from my last one, to add to the music I've been making. Mandolin adds the voice of the wood and string choir that is needed to complete the ensemble of tones.
Thank you, Sir ! WE all have been Blest by you. Happy Trails !
