    You inspire me so much, Jenny. I’ve been an ER nurse for 5 years, nearly completed an FNP program, and then had to stop everything to move twice with my military husband (an PGY-3 ER resident) and be a mom full time. During our journey, I’ve been adjusting to this new season of life as a FT mom, but much soul-searching has revealed to me that I want to go to medical school and become an IM doc in my next season of life. Watching your videos gives me the motivation to work hard as a mom (of almost 2 kiddos) for now, but also reminds me that I can be successful one day as a mom and a physician. Of all the youtubers who vlog on this topic, I look to you most as a “big sister.” Thank you for everything. I’m sure I’ll be reaching out in a few years when I take the plunge and apply for med school. -Kate

      Kate, do you think you will try to transfer your FNP credits and finish that or just leave it in the dust because you would rather do medical school? I hope that you do go on to be a doctor. I'm also a nurse and the more I talk with NPs, the more I think it's just not worth the time and effort for the salary they make, along with other reasons. It breaks my heart that more women are not able to go back to school while their children are young because being a mom and grad student is too demanding. However, I've known a good number of men who had the luxury to continue with grad school because they had a wife/mother who took on the (mostly) full responsibility of the kids. When it's your turn, you make sure nobody holds you back!

    But how do I become a morning person 😭😭 I am an OMS2 and thank goodness am PBL because I wouldn’t make it to lecture every day at 7:30am! My prime time is 7pm-3am to study. I worked as an ER tech and most shifts were 3p-3a or 7p-7a because I love the nights! It is so calm in the world (not the ER though haha) and I HATE to wake up or think early. I’ve done 7a-9p shifts and made it but only with maybe an hour of sleep because if I fall asleep early (which is so rare) I wake right back up soon. This tip scared me lol
    At any rate, thanks for the tips and Wyatt made me smile as usual!! Love you guys!

      Traci Provins I used to have a schedule of going to work at like 2 and getting off at 10, then I would stay up until like 2 or 3 every night & sleep until 12 but I hated it I felt so bad not doing anything in my mornings...I started working back my bed time...one week I went at 1 the next week 12 the next week 11 and the next week 10:30!!! Now I work mornings 6:30-2 and get up at 4, go to bed at 8, and it’s great! It just takes time and forcing your body LOL

      @ChelseaJeanBentley Před 6 lety

      it wouldn't help that you work nights too. I work nights in a theatre so not as late as an ER (5pm-11pm shifts usually) and don't get home till around midnight and find early morning lecture super difficult to get to as well. But a took two weeks off work for an intensive uni course where I had to be there every morning at 8am and I found it much easier cos I was able to wind down and go to sleep earlier than usual

    • @accountforwastingtime
      @accountforwastingtime Před 6 lety +6

      Then what do you do with them, magically hover them in the air? Because I'm sure you don't put them on your floor, then the precious floor would get dirty! And you wouldn't dare put them on the table then. Not even sure if your comment is supposed to be serious or if you were just desperately searching for something you could scold her on (as people seem to love to do). Countertops get cleaned. It will all be okay.
