Thanks for giving us a peak into your life even though things get busy. And on top of it all taking time to give us tips with positive vibes means alot.thank you!
You inspire me so much, Jenny. I’ve been an ER nurse for 5 years, nearly completed an FNP program, and then had to stop everything to move twice with my military husband (an PGY-3 ER resident) and be a mom full time. During our journey, I’ve been adjusting to this new season of life as a FT mom, but much soul-searching has revealed to me that I want to go to medical school and become an IM doc in my next season of life. Watching your videos gives me the motivation to work hard as a mom (of almost 2 kiddos) for now, but also reminds me that I can be successful one day as a mom and a physician. Of all the youtubers who vlog on this topic, I look to you most as a “big sister.” Thank you for everything. I’m sure I’ll be reaching out in a few years when I take the plunge and apply for med school. -Kate
Kate, do you think you will try to transfer your FNP credits and finish that or just leave it in the dust because you would rather do medical school? I hope that you do go on to be a doctor. I'm also a nurse and the more I talk with NPs, the more I think it's just not worth the time and effort for the salary they make, along with other reasons. It breaks my heart that more women are not able to go back to school while their children are young because being a mom and grad student is too demanding. However, I've known a good number of men who had the luxury to continue with grad school because they had a wife/mother who took on the (mostly) full responsibility of the kids. When it's your turn, you make sure nobody holds you back!
But how do I become a morning person 😭😭 I am an OMS2 and thank goodness am PBL because I wouldn’t make it to lecture every day at 7:30am! My prime time is 7pm-3am to study. I worked as an ER tech and most shifts were 3p-3a or 7p-7a because I love the nights! It is so calm in the world (not the ER though haha) and I HATE to wake up or think early. I’ve done 7a-9p shifts and made it but only with maybe an hour of sleep because if I fall asleep early (which is so rare) I wake right back up soon. This tip scared me lol
At any rate, thanks for the tips and Wyatt made me smile as usual!! Love you guys!
Traci Provins I used to have a schedule of going to work at like 2 and getting off at 10, then I would stay up until like 2 or 3 every night & sleep until 12 but I hated it I felt so bad not doing anything in my mornings...I started working back my bed time...one week I went at 1 the next week 12 the next week 11 and the next week 10:30!!! Now I work mornings 6:30-2 and get up at 4, go to bed at 8, and it’s great! It just takes time and forcing your body LOL
it wouldn't help that you work nights too. I work nights in a theatre so not as late as an ER (5pm-11pm shifts usually) and don't get home till around midnight and find early morning lecture super difficult to get to as well. But a took two weeks off work for an intensive uni course where I had to be there every morning at 8am and I found it much easier cos I was able to wind down and go to sleep earlier than usual
I love how honest you are in your vlogs! Watching them puts me in such a good mood!! 😁😁
Yay! I sad I couldn’t be more active in the comment section today. Slammed at work. But my favorite part is talking to everyone!
Nice insight doc! can't help but relate and feel the same thing as a senior resident!
You NAILED it with your preparation meets opportunity idea. It should be a quote- I completely agree!
I can’t wait to have the knowledge of a senior resident.
your videos are very helpful i am a senior in high school and i want to work in the medicine field as a pediatric doctor
I'm starting medical school next year and am excited to use some of these tips. Thank you for sharing! :D I look forward to your next video, as always.
Congratulations!! Any special plans before starting med school?
Awwww Wyatt seeing them off!
He’s just the sweetest!!
Wyatt is so adorable. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ ps. thank you for the effort you put into your videos/vlogs, we appreciate it
I agree with you. Waking up early makes miracles. I used to drive Uber in nyc and I used to start at 4am until 5 or 6pm. If any day I started later than those hours I was feeling my day was so bad 😂
Honestly I don't blame you if you don't post videos often because your job is hectic, and not to mention you have a kid.
I loved this advice you delivered at the end of the video and really appreciate you sitting down and taking the time to share this with us. You're very thoughtful and open and we are lucky to have you help us. Thank you!
Thank you for spending time with us! My favorite thing is just making friends in the comment section 😍
One of my fav vids of yours so far! Just seemed more authentic than usual. Much love
Woahhh great video great advice. Very honestly made
LOVED this video! Thank you for sharing for us moms that want to pursue medicine! 💕💕
Wyatt is so cute!
We think so too but we’re bias 😅
She would be better as an LPN. I don’t think this is the right career for her.
What characteristics would make me a better LPN? And why do you think this is the wrong career for me after seeing a mere 11 minutes of my day?
Jenny Le you’re more compassionate than doctors and I can see you enjoy the people more than the tasks. So that’s why I think you would be better at the bedside.
I think compassion and empathy are very important characteristics of a physician. I apology if you have had bad experiences from heath care providers but like in every profession, there are good and bad practitioners.
Can you do a video on your bullet journal? I hate how some days it feels like it takes a while to set up. I've got it down to a pretty minimal spread but I'd love to see how you do yours!
I have a video! It’s old but my spread is the same. How To Stay Organized in Med School | Bullet Journalczcams.com/video/-liwtyAtxuc/video.html
I was thinking of started a digital bullet journal but haven’t committed yet lol.
Hey Jenny! Thanks for the Advice you have shared with US!! I "Appreciate"!! I Love ❤ Your Channel 👍👍... Thanks for sharing this video with US!!!👍👍👍
Crockpot cooking works too!!

Jenny I am in my prerequisites for pre nursing school, I am currently in my first Science class, biology is stressing me out. I currently have a 3.7 GPA, how did you deal with a hard class when in undergrad? I am so stressed and feeling like a huge failure.
Another fantastic, encouraging video! Planning is the key to an organized life and I just love that you share your keys!! Thank you so much and I hope you have a wonderful day!! Take care my friend! Love, Jeanie xxoo Hugs to Wyatt!! xxoo

I enjoy your V Logs.
Jenny me being an IMG would like to know if we could apply for residency in osteopathic medicine.is that possible?
I know you are crazy busy but whenever you're free would appreciate a reply!tc.have a great day!
I believe all residencies are becoming duel accredited. So it just then depends on the specific residency programs
Thanks Jenny.so in family medicine we need to just write USMLE to get into osteopathic programs.thats awesome.thanks again!
You can do it Doc😐
Cleveland Browns game. 1st win.
In over 2 years!!
Oh my .. coming home to cook too .. next time just buy cooked ones on the way home .. they are all the same Ok ..
Fast food is more expensive and not as healthy. Stan and I like cooking together because that’s also our bonding time.
Thumbnail says “family medince”
That’s correct. There are internal medicine and family medicine physicians who can be Hospitalist. I just happen to be of the FM variety.
What resident are you?
2nd
Wtf....how do u do all this? Work be a mum,cook...gym OMG
Jenny being in healthcare I would never put a box or shopping bag on my kitchen countertop. I specially those boxes are everywhere on dirty floors before get to your place. Just saying it...
Then what do you do with them, magically hover them in the air? Because I'm sure you don't put them on your floor, then the precious floor would get dirty! And you wouldn't dare put them on the table then. Not even sure if your comment is supposed to be serious or if you were just desperately searching for something you could scold her on (as people seem to love to do). Countertops get cleaned. It will all be okay.
ViolinChick I am unpacking from the floor. What ever inside in the box. I am talking about the box. I saw rats running around in the sorting area at UPS when I have to pick up a box. Since them no more delivery box on my kitchen counter.
@@anna_m59 That's a fact. Those boxes have all sorts of filth. They are stored in filthy warehouses and then placed in nasty trailers. I agree. Keep them on the floor. The countertop is sacred space.
Oh this is ridiculous. If you’re a mom AND very well educated in infectious disease, you don’t let little stuff like that worry you. That’s what Clorox spray is for.
It don't matter 😂 your body can withstand more then a little dirt
