Kirk was always my favorite member, and to know he’s such a nice guy just makes it even better.
I was playing seek and destroy as soon as i bought a tuner. Its like taking your first step as a child
My goal in life as a guitarist is to jam with this guy. I’m 12 so I don’t see myself doing it soon but I hope one day I can play one song with him or the band that would be the best thing ever
Believe in ya man, it’s not impossible (might be close) but you should never give up on that dream my man
hey man. I might be a "old dude" I just turned 31 but I still remember getting my first guitar when I was 12.. stick with it brother. I gave it up until I was 17 due to me complaining that I wasn't "good" or it took too much time and hurt my fingers etc etc. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE! even if it's 15 mins a day! I promise you'll have some of the best times with that guitar! I mean I could be telling the NEXT Kirk Hammett advice on a CZcams comment now... you never know! also they still touring and will be around by time your 18 or so. even if they ain't touring by time you get a little older there is still a chance you could meet him plus the others! you never know you could possibly write the best rock album of the 2020s... chase your dreams don't let anyone tell you YOU CAN'T! I wish I had people to tell me when I was 12 the things I'm telling you. much respect little dude and keep on rocking in the free world my guy!!
and age doesn't matter! Robert Plant of led zeppelin was 19 when he joined Zeppelin the others were 22/23. the band silver chair made their debut album at 15! which is their best one! wrote the songs when they were 13! there is plenty of bands and artist who started out where you are right now and they chased their dreams and some people are lucky and some aren't... BUT YOU DON'T KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY!
Keep dreamin’ dude, you never know! (that sounds bad, but I mean it in a positive way - seriously, don’t give up on your dreams). In the meantime keep playing and learning.
I remember being 12 and first starting to learn. That’s an awesome time. Enjoy it.
