I love this description of God. I am a Catholic and many of my fellow Catholics may take a cursory look at this teaching and call it new age nonsense. But for me this is it.

Yes, this is fully consistent with Catholic and Orthodox theology. In fact, traditional Catholic theology is even better because there are some things about Tolle's explanation where he seems to use his intellect to fill in parts that aren't in his experience. There are many Catholic saints who were more fully spirituality realized than Eckhart Tolle-that is their understanding is much fuller, richer and deeper, as Eckhart Tolle's understanding still seems to be fairly superficial. Still, there is a lot most Catholics can learn from Tolle about how to pray the Mass by opening one’s self up, becoming more fully present.
You THINK you are Catholic, that is not the same thing with ”i am catholic”, you can not be catholic, or anything else.

Why is God’s mind eternally peaceful? And who said this? How do you know it’s the truth? Do we have free will if he’s everything? Why did he create us? Why is anything the way it is rather an another way (why can’t we be walking jellybeans rather than ape descendants if anything is possible?)?

Consciousness is enough for a label, but even this word is just a label.
God is not a being like humans, there is not a he or she. What many call “god” is formless, nameless, eternal always present consciousness. See Buddhism, Tao, Hinduism etc for better explanations.
Don’t cling to the teachings, they are just pointers, look inward all the answers are in you. You actually IS the consciousness, or soul if you like and you have this body and mind.
What I mean by inward has nothing to do with thinking and philosophical searching for answers.
Meditation helps and no you don’t have to sit for hours, doing nothing. Although just 15-30 minutes a day help. First step is to focus on the now and not in your mind. This will help you to cut the identification with your mind.
You are not the story of the mind, you are the consciousness and you can observe it, while still using it as always. Even better as you go deeper into being.
You are the operator of the mind, and your mind it’s just a tool it is not your true essence.
Your whatever identity, name, face, history, memories, opinions, beliefs etc are just the surface of your being.

We're not temporary. We are units of the all in one that before our creation resided in the one God who is consciousness. Then we were separated into reality via Adam the first man.

We are a temporal expression of the God consciousness. God lives within us, within our souls, within the essence of our being. We are not temporary beings, we are spirits in a temporal world.
I like the sun analogy a great way to describe consciousness.
Yes, physical things reflect attributes of God and the Sun has long been understood to reflect the attribute God's power, unity and light. For example, if we think of God as the Sun and Jesus as a perfectly polished mirror (born without sin). Then is not an accurate statement to say that the reflection of the Sun in that mirror is the Sun? The rays are the Holy Spirit. Jesus could say with truth that he was the Sun, but also that he was not the Sun. It depends on one's manner of speaking. But not just Jesus, Moses, Krishna, Muhammad, the historical Buddha, Abraham, Adam and many, many others were also such perfectly polished mirrors... The one caveat here is that the Sun is both literally and figuratively a symbol of God's attributes, not His Essence (which is unknowable). The important thing from all this that Tolle doesn't understand is that Religion has always been the driver of human civilization. These manifestations of God come into the physical reality to release both spiritual energies and provide moral instructions to advance civilization to its next stage of evolution. It's not enough to be spiritual-even if we all had Tolle's realization-we must find the latest spiritual Manifestation and follow his religion. After Jesus, there was Muhammad, the Bab and then Bahá'u'lláh. Religion has a life cycle, like everything else in the physical world. They are born into a historical-social setting, have a spring, summer, fall and winter before being renewed in a new form. Religion is also part of the human response to Divine Revelation (where that Revelation is divided between temporal social teachings and eternal spiritual teachings-it is in this second function, the spiritual teachings, that we can say all religions are one).
I have been listening to you for weeks now, one every second day. I had the best day EVER today and I believe it's from hearing your teachings. Thank you for being you.
I struggled with the idea of god being either uncaring or evil, due to all the suffering and I got a message through meditation that ended the struggle. I have watched many eckhart tolle videos and other teachers and I had a partial enlightenment experience (partial because I went back to my normal self! :D) and I've been trying to meditate and get back there(here/now) ever since. Anyway the message is - "All paths lead to God". My interpretation is that no matter how evil or how much suffering something causes it always eventually leads back to God/source/love/compassion/consciousness, whether that is in this life or the next. Our journey is always back to God.

I can feel this guys energy, listening to him. Super strong. It's like I can kinda see the world the way he does. Child-like vision. No labels. The feeling I got when I felt his energy was beautiful. Literally never happened to me before like that. I sometimes feel energy but this guys energy must be really strong, because the feeling I got was strong.

Yes, plenty of times. Really by mystics and saints of all religious traditions, but especially the Christians-not just persons like the Meister Eckhart from which Tolle took his name, but much more mundane Christian saints like St. John of Damascus. For religious people, we have understood this for millennia.
God is Love. In order to be like God we need to Love like Him . This kind of transcending Love can only be known through The Son consciousness. No one can come to The Father except through The Son Conscious Love the Narrow Gate The Way The Truth and The Light of Consciousness. Those that have eyes and ears let them see and hear awaken

You have said it before, that we are limited by the perceptions we have. The idea of God is our belief in it and with those limited perceptions. I do enjoy the idea of being some kind of expression of a greater universe or being...I find it comforting somehow, without any further thought of it. Meditation calls...
Consciousness is the light of Awareness (or Being)... which is inconceivable, inscrutable, unexplainable through any form of logic or multi-logic... But can only be experienced by anyone...

I do not belive that we are the bad dream of God that he suffer as his creation, but that we are his creations of his consciousness for filed in an Expression of form that he have given a life of self realisation, given us his free will to grow on our own. How our life and the would go does not matter for God but only for our self. God is good, everything go as it should, God provide for me what i need.

No, it's not possible to know the mind of God or even know God. God is unknowable, in Essence. What we can know about "God" are his attributes or energies as they're manifested in the world. This is a big difference. Eckhart might say something like "God is experienceable but unknowable". Which is what I would assert that he did say here, but then people like you get confused by this and say erroneous things like this means it is possible "to understand the mind of god [sic]". But very likely this false conceptualization will become a veil between you and the direct experiences of God, which then just makes it another support of the egoistic mind.

Simply Put
All is one thing. One thing experiencing itself. One thing with many heads. The heads come and go, but the thing that each of those heads is continues. Continues to experience itself. Continues to create new heads. The key is to realise that we are that one thing. Not this seemingly separate head. We are the one thing viewing ourself from the viewpoint of this head. Whether the primary substance of the one thing that we are is made of consciousness that can appear as matter in order to experience itself or whether it is made of matter that possesses the potential to create consciousness from within itself in order to experience itself, it makes no difference. It’s still all one thing. We are all one thing, always have been and always will be. There is nothing else that anything can be except the one thing that is. So have fun experiencing yourself as this head, meditate to drop the mind of this head and chill as yourself (the one thing that all is), love all as it’s all part of you and always will be. When you talk to others you’re literally talking to another part of yourself. The one thing that all is will continue to make new heads to keep on experiencing itself. We are that one thing.

Basically, we are fragments of the Divine temporarily experiencing life as separate entities though (SPOILER) it's just an illusion. Like in the movie Avatar, we took a biological form to experience life under particular conditions but the Consciousness who is aware of it all is not just in the blue body.

For me... I want to know the feelings of man. Understanding of man's true inner unity, and thus, through this, feel the nature of God.
I now know, the mind is contrived from the feelings entity. That knowing and understanding are behind the words and thus can be felt, downloaded without the need of words.
Words can be added afterwards for the sake of documentation and sharing in the earthly realm.
You create your own reality
How do you stop your attachment to the body?
Probably we dont have the capacity to understand the mind of god because we can see directly his mind of course, but we can feel him, oberving how he acts every day in your life, and then you can imagine how he thinks: he only wants the best for you because he loves you.
As a human, you could never truly
respect a "God" you could comprehend.
