@Gong Lei is there any advice you have for casting baitcasters further, i have a 5"10 shimano 3-5kg and i struggle to cast far even with heavy 1/4 oz jig heads, my reel settings are set to minimal brakes and decently loose on the casting dial any tips?
Casting light and heavy weights is a difference like night and day. 1/4 OZ weight is considered more on the light side of weights. The lures that gong lei casts in his videos are rarely under 1-2 OZ using heavy okuma baitcasters which are designed for saltwater/shore fishing with all brakes completely turned off. To do that you need a lot of practice tho. It is not possible to cast light weights up to 1/2 oz with a baitcaster and get the same distance that you can get with a spinning reel, unless you are using very highend equipment (>350$ for a reel) and maybe some tuning bearings.

Probably one of his prototype rods, they are called "Mars Kayu" and "Mars Somasi". They are made for his style of fishing, accurate casting, lots of power to fight strong fish and mainly topwater action. But you cant buy these rods becuz these are prototypes
