Merci, Ginevra et Boris pour cette interprétation lumineuse, modeste et honnête contrairement à d'autres qui font passer la performance de l'interprète avant le respect de la partition et de son auteur. L'oeuvre de César Franck est une pure merveille qu'il ne faut pas dénaturer par des accélérations démesurées. Je suis moi-même pianiste et donne en concert cette sonate en version flute-piano, et sans être esclave de votre interprétation, je la considère comme une base solide de travail. Merci!

@@robertobeltrami6466 ci vorrebbe orecchio per sentire a quale suono mi riferisco anche se è sempre stato talmente evidente che non si può non sentire,se non te ne sei mai accorto vuol dire che non hai orecchio,un riferimento?Grazie al cielo ho ben altri riferimenti che lo scozzese culturista del flauto,alcune sue performance sono inascoltabili.Sicuramente da giovane era un primo flauto molto apprezzato,ma già nella registrazione EMI dei concerti di Mozart diretti da Karajan Andreas Blau lo surclassava.

Gorgeous sound! So dark without all the edgy buzz.
But the problem is that the dark heaviness gets in the way of the music and the freight train keeps getting slower and slower.

I am confused. This is a sonata for Violin and Piano. Did Franck really compose this piece also for Flute and Piano? Dr. Rolf Leonhardt
Hello Rolf, the Sonata is originally scored for violin and piano, but Franck himsef intended it to be played possibly with flute as well, as the first edition states.
