@@davidsparks7106 yes, agreed. He has really defined the sound to a high standard in all his bands. But this is probably his best work. Now Hugo is continuously making new touches to their sound, and plays similar style as forest in BC. Also in equipoise you can hear this type of harmony
First and foremost, First Fragment is HAPPY TECHDEATH!! Every FF track leaves me bright and cheerful. Okay, enough emo shit right? But, I don't care so I'll say it...this track made me HAPPY! The damn basslines! Forest is on fire on this track. But the kind of fire that inspires instead of destroying! Can't wait for the album to drop!! Can't wait for the vinyl to reach!! (Hope ULR packs the vinyl with a little more care.This is one vinyl that I cannot bear to see edge-bumped/seam-split/warped at all.)

I love Necrophagist, but First Fragment/Equipoise (Phil Tougas) indeed fill the void that waiting for a new Necrophagist album left in me LOL. To a lesser extent, The HAARP Machine does that for me as well even though the style is very different.
