A Peak running on Peak rail, nice video, very nice scenery out there and with the Ecclesbourne Valley railway just a couple of miles away combining those 2 railways makes for a great day out.

Thoroughly enjoyable, thanks Nick. Loads of interest with the surroundings as well as the locos. Particularly liked the front carriage sequence behind No.72. On checking my 'Combined Volumes' of 1962 & 1963, I see that I copped D8 (probably at Leicester London Road) sometime after the issue of the 1963 edition. Kind regards, Bob.

Thank you Bob! A railway I enjoy visiting on a regular basis. For the scenery, along with seeing No.72 and D8 locomotives in action. My train spotting days go back to the mid/late 60's, regular at Birmingham New St, diesel and electric locos in abundance. Venturing all over the country on days out from there. Return to London Euston £1. Bristol Temple Meads, 13 shillings and 6d. Cardiff, 14 shillings day return. Thanks for your comments Bob!

Great filming, interesting movements. Do you ever have the opportunity to film inside Rowsley MPD?

Thank you iantrack!. Unfortunately no, the public are not allowed into Rowsley steam engine restoration shed. But the Heritage Shunter Trust do hold events during the year, which give enthusiasts the opportunity to see the Trusts collection of shunters in action!

Does Peak Rail normally use a diesel and steam loco at the same time end to end?
