very interesting upload. I was 8 years old in 1962 and didn't know very much about the death of Monroe, but I do remember the JFK assassination in November 1963. I think everyone in the world knew about that.
As a black woman... One of my favorite facts about Marilyn Monroe was her friendship with Ella Fitzgerald, who IMHO was the greatest female singer of that era. People don't really talk about her early Civil Rights Activism either. She loved people and the men around her took Ms. Monroe's kindness for weakness, except for, Gianni. I pray they can keep the house for future generations. I also heard that the house is haunted and that a woman can be heard humming throughout the hallway at night.... Maybe that's why they want to tear it down.... maybe. This was a good one... THANKS!
