  • Hey everyone! In todays video I discuss my experience going abroad to medical school in the Caribbean. It certainly wasn't an easy experience and this decision has to be taken very seriously. It costs a lot of money and time to move abroad to another country and then the process of completing medical school takes years and many exams! Its a huge personal commitment you have to make but at the end of it all it is very rewarding. Taking the USMLEs was very intimidating but you can get through it! Things are changing with these exams and I hope its for the better. The biggest hurdle for IMG's is matching into a US residency, here I discuss my journey, stay tuned for part 2 where i talk about strategies that helped me match into a family medicine residency! Just make sure you take both Bio courses, all four Chem courses, BioChem, both Physics, and whatever math courses are required for your major. Try to take those courses before the end of your Junior years because that’s when you began to apply to medical school. (I’m a Junior Psychologist (B.S) student in the US. I’ll be apply to Medical school a little later because my school didn’t prepare me. I’ll most likely attend a special masters program that’ll last one to two years before going to medical school.) good luck❤️reply to my message if you have any questions.
