Christopher Martin ist einer der Stars der aktuellen jamaikanischen Reggae-Szene und ist definitiv kein Reggae-Purist. In seinem Sound vereint er die Musik seiner Insel mit internationalen Musikstilen wie R&B, Dance, HipHop und Pop.
Christopher Oteng Martin (Jahrgang 1987) interessierte sich während seiner High School-Zeit nicht nur für Musik, sondern gewann auch zahlreiche Sportauszeichnungen und liebte das Theater. Seine Mitschüler und seine Eltern motivierten ihn sehr dabei, eine Musikkarriere zu starten. 2005 gewann er einen von dem Mobilfunkanbieter Digicel ausgerichteten Musikerwettbewerb. Seine Debüt-Single "Love Is All We Need" wurde auch Teil der Promotion-Kampagne der Firma.
Seitdem hat Martin mit Top-Produzenten wie Robert Livingston, Arif Cooper und Shane Brown gearbeitet und zahlreiche Tourneen gespielt. Er überzeugt mit gut gemachtem Dancehall und Roots Reggae und gilt live als großartiger Entertainer. Mit seinem zweiten Album "And Then" enterte Christopher Martin im Mai 2019 die Nummer 1 der Reggae-Billboard-Charts. Die Roots Reggae-Szene kann ebenso viel mit ihm anfangen wie Soundsystem-Advokaten.
