Baby rhino Thaba gets a taste of lucerne

While Thaba is still on a milk diet (and will be a for a while), he is getting to grips with what eating is about. 🦏 In this video, you can see him attempting to munch lucerne, but he mostly picks at it or carries it around. Thaba has learnt to munch on the ground by watching Vlooi. Whenever they go for walks, Vlooi will stop to eat grass or leaves. Thaba soon tries to do the same. This is why sheep make such good surrogates and companions. It also seems as though Thaba has gotten used to the sables, as chasing them wasn’t on his agenda today. 😅

Thaba will soon understand the joys of munching on lucerne =D he'll see Esme hoovering it up and realize its a good thing to eat (also like you said watching Vlooi). I'm sure the sables are glad he's not chasing them too, so they can graze in peace.

Well, now soft milk tastes better than lucerne. He’ll soon discover how truly delicious lucerne is 😁. At least the beautiful sables could munch peacefully. 💖🦏
