Also, has anyone seen Dominick in a tie before?! That may be the real news 😜

Awesome tech, eVOTLs are a great solution for fast in city transport, city to airport passenger transfer and remote locations access. Tom great work covering other transport solutions can't wait to see more

It's an interesting space, and with a partnership with Stellantis, there's definitely some overlap with electric automotive.

I’m not one to pass on a compliment but, this interview was the interview of the century! Batteries Included Podcast delivered big here!

Good ideas and I wish them luck to displace the helicopter taxi services that the U.S. has in a few areas. We'll have to see how those companies view the ROI. Maybe current services often hold only 1-2 passengers so it won't be a limitation.

So how can they become certified and launch commercial operations if they have not flown with a pilot? They have not demonstrated the midnight transitioning into forward winged flight. Am I missing something? I’ve been looking for videos and can’t find anything. Only CGI.

Lol! They received FAA certification to operate as a commercial transport company last week. So, in theory, if they wanted to launch business operations using traditional fixed wing or rotary aircraft, they could. Also, last week, their SECOND MODEL, the Midnight, achieved transition from vertical takeoff to level/ wing based flight. (The first model the company designed, the Maker, has been flying for a few years now.) As for unmanned test flights, welcome to the 21st century. MANY COMPANIES are flying their test aircraft UNMANNED as it actually SPEEDS UP DEVELOPMENT. It allows developers to take more chances sooner without the risk of loosing human life.

If they already can fly 100 miles loaded with a pilot and passangers like he said they can then they should make a full video of a 20 mile empty trip. They would be the leader and their stock would exponentially increase over night. Nobody can show something like that. Do you believe him when he said they can do that? Why would their demo video be so short and edited and limited to hover if they already can fly a loaded craft 100 miles?

Has the midnight ever flown? Im surprised he said it can fly 100 miles with passangers instead of its designed to fly 100 miles or something with a different qualifier.

@@TheBagOfHolding Yeah, what the video also didn't mention is Midnight is the 2nd design created by Archer. Maker, the first design has been flying for a year or two.

It’s weird that they have to lean forward in order to look at each other. Why are the seats designed like that? All it does is just add weight to the craft. if you are traveling with your wife or family member, you won’t be able to look at them. You’ll have to lean forward and look around the wall of the seat.
