The Disapointer Sisters and the Harlequeens I think this was recorded at the Black Cap. This video was given to me by my old friend Ray Reynolds former DJ from Central Station.
Wonderful to see them all again, yes I am sure most of them are gone, Alistair Harlequeen was a great friend of mine. Jennifer Scot must be out there somewhere I hope.
Thanks for putting this video on here, The Harlequeens were very good friends of mine back in the 70s and 80s I never thought a video would turn up of them.
This was the early 70's at the Black Cap when Harry Mccafferty ran it. The drag queen compere who appears briefly was called Barry Scott, he was the brother of one of hinge and bracket. He most probably has passed away now like so many of those old drag queens.
The very first gay venue i was taken by a girl-friend who knew Alistair(Harlequeen)❤ & Dave Lynn( i watched his first debut appearance) i gazed at Jennifer Scott in awe! I saw all the true greats of that time; Dave Dale, Adrella, mrs. Shufflewick, Regina Fong, The Trollettes, Lily Savage & my favourites The Harlequeens! What an awesome pub,i'm priveleged to have such memories from a unique time in gay history. ❤
