I bought a beautiful glass dip pen made by Kawanishi-Glass.
So I used it for an illustration and made a ASMR video.
I also used my favorite fountain pen inks inspired by Japanese colors.
Drawing with a wonderful glass dip pen and colorful inks is very calming🌈

When I was a kid I dreamed of having toys, now I’m old dreaming of having a bookshop filled with Art supplies 👁👄👁
Oh me too. I love buying n trying new art n crafts. And to have my own shop will be a dream.
The stationary will never fail to impressed me
If you're an Artist like me, that is the best feeling that you know you want as a goal. 😊👩🎨
Same. I geek out over pens but my hand writing sucks. Lol
I admire those artists who don't need so many materials to make a masterpiece, who with simple mud or any substance can create works that will dazzle the eyes of anyone, that is my old dream.
I don't know much about drawing with a glass dip pen but i find people who can draw with those really talented because its a one time thing. You can't erase it. You have to get it in the first try
You dont need to be perfect btw it just need to be accurate you can just draw the guidline with pencil and draw the rest with glass dip pen
There are no mistakes in art
@@richarddaly254 um yes there is
@@gumidumi4604 I used to believe that until I watched Bob Ross.
It doesn’t have to be perfect unless you’re copying something that already exists. If you’re painting something new, then perfect is something you make it. If you draw a line “wrong”, then you just paint a picture where that line is right.
But I get your point. You still have to be able to correct the picture you’re painting in your head to match what you’ve already painted, and that does take a lot of talent and skill (and practice) and it’s indeed quite admirable and impressive.
I've seen the ink drawn art then filled in with separate water colors, but I've never seen the ink get drawn on and then BECOME the water colors! How beautiful this is!
Before, I thought an art should be precisely drawn like for example, a typical narrow leaf... but this art of yours made me realise that an illustration doesn't necessarily have to be ordinary or else it won't look realistic at all. This video shows that art is indeed a flexible form of beauty. Thank you for making me realize that. ❤️
the whole time I couldn't tell if I liked the art style but the black came through for a little clean up just awesome, and the ability to be not perfect on purpose is something I can't do myself but I really like seeing
As long as it looks convincing thwn its good
@@Paopao621 Sometimes, art it good because it's not convincing. The "uncanny valley" is one such type of art.
Japan is artist paradise in terms of art supplies. I’ve never seen such a huge variety of all tools possible.
I think so, too. Ideas and colors are unique and always entertain me🥰

It's absolutely gorgeous to watch, ink drawing isn't THAT popular, it makes it really impressive when someone like her starts drawing such a good piece !
In any terms, I loved the video and the drawing is fantastic~
Would highly recommend you also check out Peter Draws then. He is primarily a pen artist and often does ink drawings, though they tend to be more freeform than this.
I think the reason ink drawing videos are scarce is due to because it is harder than pen
Also love your channel :)
I did not expect you here.
Is not that hard! I can make better drawings with spinach baby food my DUDEZ!!
Is that official sign
I am not from field of art, but this was one of the most elegant and smooth techniques to draw I have watched. I didn’t know about this until YT recommend it, and I can confidently say this could become an obsession. Congratulations and greetings from Mexico!
People that can, for lack of a better term, “draw” are truly gifted. Their foresight and just truly one’s ability to create from their minds is truly astounding! Every stroke is intentional and precise. A skill that one is gifted.
as one who uses a drawing tablet, I can tell you that every line is in fact, not intentional, and I do in fact, use ctr-z more often than I used a calculator in math class
@Bob Eel as a pencil sketcher, most lines are not intentional but with ink to paper, they are
I admire how some people can just start throwing down seemingly random lines on paper that then turn into beautiful pictures! Makes me jealous.
Well, we don't know how many hundreds of hours of practice went into perfecting her craft. She makes it look really easy, but I'm sure it's well earned. Everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and I'm sure you also possess a skill that others would like to be good at :-)
I honestly would love to understand how it works because it's like you see parts of a dismantled IKEA furniture, say a chair and you know where pieces are supposed to go since you understand a chair from like your kindergarten.
Just imagine understanding something so well that you can just know where things are supposed to go since it is so easy to see the final picture. Maybe that's what it means to master something.
@@RandomObsession that’s a good observation
Same.
They see it in their head and their hands execute the design.
I would never have the patience to draw that many flowers in one art piece lol
I can rarely ever made it past the scribble and sketches. It sits in my computer folder for a long while before i suddenly wants to progress it again one day.
Is the pig 🐖🐷 yours ?????
You are better than me because I don't even have the patience to see the entire video even in 2x speed😂
If you love art it’s not a chore. It entertains for hours. I simply have no talent
Absolutely incredible. I never knew that glass ink pens were a thing but you learn something new every day. The illustration turned out beautifully!

This is hands down one of the most beautiful videos I've ever seen. Everything is exquisite, and your use of fountain pen inks is something that very few artists have explored. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of your creative process. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
That is just insane. She indefinitely has the art piece already made in her thoughts because she just goes and knocks it out.

Theres a saying of anyone can be an artist.

Hooray for CZcams. Crazy talented people out there. Even the pen is amazingly gorgeous. One stroke at a time....

Some famous mangaka use dip pens too
Most people say they cannot draw because they lack talent, or skill with the brush or pen. When it is vision that one lacks. Someone able to draw confidently, that they are making the right strokes, has vision and can maintain it. Skill can be taught, talent overcome with practice. Mastery is achieved when you have control over all three and your vision can be altered continuously without losing focus and maintaining that confidence.
I so agree. Talent is overrated and a lack of it is used as a convenient excuse not to try. Talent is a shortcut to better art but not a prerequisite. Hard work and passion though are. Oh yes, and courage!
Beautifully said! 😭
I still cannot draw. 😢

It is the same with music. I’m a musician, and I’ve always doubted my abilities in drawing. I’ve recently started to practice and my skills are transforming every day. I love it so much. I’m glad I decided to try
I’ve been drawing and painting for decades. This is totally out of my comfort zone of medium but it’s absolutely beautiful! I love it! And the tools you used are like pieces of art just by themselves. Bravo! 👏👏👏 Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent.
you chose the perfect colours and arranged them beautifully, I really enjoyed watching this!
The fact that a sketch is apparently not needed makes it 10 times more awesome.
You should check out Kim Jung Gi, then. He is a master at drawing works in ink without any sketches and does public drawings in this format.

Those beautiful, clean & confident lines you put down with the pen are just fantastic to watch. Truly impressive skill
That pen hold more ink than me holding my life together
That sentence makes less sense than our existence.
Ralph Fischer You're half right and half wrong. The sentence could be reframed as, "That pen has a better ability to hold ink than I have the ability to hold my life together." No matter how the bad the grammar is, that statement is awful true.
@@adiyaroy0 You're completely wrong.
A pen's ink capactiy and one's ability to hold their life together aren't comparable units. That's like saying 'This thermometer can measure temparatures between 2 and 5 light years'.
On top of that your comment mistranslated what OP said. OP said 'hold more' not 'ability to hold'. So OP clearly was talking about quantity and not effectiveness.
Don't be a smartass or at least try harder. Smh.

I am an engineer and for me drawing like this is literally MAGIC. I simply cannot perceive the world like artists do... I cannot translate things I see into strokes, lines, shapes, colors on paper... When someone simply takes a pen and starts drawing things that become a stunning piece of art... I feel like I am watching a real magic happening in front of me... On one hand it is somewhat frustrating that drawing things I see was always (since I was a kid) extremely difficult for me, virtually impossible. But on the other hand it is extremely inspiring that all people seem to have very similar brains, but some of us draw almost naturally, while other have natural talent for different things. And trying to learn and understand that "other" skills, which are so odd for your brain is... sooo extremely refreshing, makes your brain young again.
完成された絵のみならず、完成に至るまでの過程、所作、それらすべて含めてひとつの作品だと強く感じられる動画でした。

Remember not to claim you can't draw under artists works, it guilts them and makes them feel bad !!! Just keep practicing your craft if you are unhappy with your progress !
A very weird point tbh. How can someone else’s inability to draw guilt the artist? I dont get it.
@@MonographicSingleheaded I think it has to do with putting the artist on a pedestal. Saying "I can't draw" doesn't praise the artist. Instead, it hurts your own pride and can hurt the artist as well. After all, even the artist at one point wasn't as good she/he wanted to be. The artist has posted a video, to show how much they've worked to get to that level. So just keep on going and your art will improve! :)

it fascinates me how people can draw and paint so well. Seems like something people are (or in my case aren't) born with a talent for. My handwriting isn't even the same every time I write a letter. I can't guide a pen and even if I could I'd have no idea how to create an image from my mind, I can't visualise something so clearly :)
I was in the same position 3 years ago. I found Shayda Campbell on CZcams and started following her lessons. I’m not claiming to be an artist but I can say that I am now able to produce drawings of flowers that are quite pleasing. I’m still struggling with paint but will keep trying. Point is, you don’t know what you can achieve unless you try!
It’s the lifetime of practice that does it. Sure you can be born with a natural inclination toward it but you can also be born with a natural inclination toward math or science. The only reason we relegate artists the the “talent” ghetto is because with things like math, you need to be at a certain level to survive in society. If we taught drawing and painting the same way we taught math-that is, everyone has to reach a certain level in school in order to graduate-it wouldn’t seem so mysterious
@@FlippytheMasterofPie yeah then I would flunk out of school. The art of drawing is absolutely beyond me. I have been drawing, practicing, and trying my whole life. Most 10 year olds could draw better than me with little effort. Yes practice is important, but some level of talent is necessary, something I absolutely lack. However, I understand your point.

I really like how you balanced your illustration with the placement of the girl and the flowers. The gentle flowers, the sweeping lines of her hair, the slightly downturned face-all of those curves look so soft and elegant together, especially with how you spread the ink out more.
