This doesn't seem to work anymore. When I select Data > Data Validation, there is no "Date" in the criteria. There are a number of "Date is X" options that require extra criteria. Nothing to get a "Date Input" calendar or dropdown in the cell. EDIT: It works. But you now need to choose *Is valid date* and not simply "Date"
I have a question. i have a list for ten dates in column A1-10, in column B1-10 i extracte the month a function(date(cell) or TEXT(cell, "mmmm" )). The problem is in column B1-10 the function the formula gives the month of December without even having filled in cell A. How can i fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

I am sorry this solution isn't working. Is the sheet from another author? I was wondering if somebody shared the sheet even with edit access some options may not be available. Did you restart Chrome and try again?
There is no longer a pop up box with a save feature. A panel appears on the right hand side and the only option is to add rule however it does not save and apply the changes to the selected range. Please update this content.

In Excel, click developer tab, choose insert > ActiveX Controls > More Controls then choose Microsoft Date and Time Picker. I've read somewhere this option isn't available on 64bit versions of office. Good luck 👍
