True CIA - Opening Credits

Coming to HBO from Christopher Nolan starring Aidan Gillen and Tom Hardy, True CIA is the crime anthology series of the year.
Made this inspired by an image, all done in After Effects with some limited Mocha mask tracking, mostly done by hand. Used the original True Detective Season 1 Opening Credits as inspiration for quite a lot of the shots, as well as the general feel and to some extent colour palette - you should be able to identify some shots that are hopefully directly comparable. Total work time, 50 hours or so, a grand total of somewhere in the region of 200 to 300 layers most of which were precomped. Used a 13GB rip of TDKR as source material plus high res images and chroma footage from online. Biggest VFX edit I've done, and extremely painful, (all) for you.
