Really enjoyed watching this. In Australia its hot over Christmas and although its amazing to have outdoor activities in December we love to remember our childhoodof cold andsnowy conditions.
We got our first good snow last night and man I miss summer. It came too fast.

The best opaque white I have found is Doctor Martins opaque white. You can thin it and it is still opaque. I use it for calligraphy too. I think it would help your snow on the trees look more realistic. Thanks for the tutorial.

I loved the overall painting but I have to say I loved it more before the snow. But yours looks very realistic, great job! I especially appreciate the lessons on the trees! I have had trouble with them in the past. I worked as a sculptor in an art bronze foundry and as the artist doing the paint patinas and it is hard to go from painting a sculpted piece to a flat surface paint job. I love how easy you make it look. Thank you so much!

I just painted this and it came out really nice! Your tree instructions are very good! I hope that you will teach us how to paint other kinds of tree too! I need to go back and add the snow to the trees because I forgot! I do think that you had a good save there when you removed some of the white paint from the trees! Thank you!

Sweet! I love the composition here. A white gel pen would probably be great for the snow on the trees and cones.

Wow what a great suggestion! Usually I suggest a white-out pen but a gel pen probably has a smaller point.
Load a dip pen from a brush if you want a fine point.
Loved your tutorial…..I use to do watercolor but haven’t in a long time. Just might have to pick up my brushes again! Beautiful.
