hey scrapman thanks for showing my creation (Chronicles Nomad Base). The miner/tree chopper does actually pull logs into the conveyor. You chop down the tree, line the vehile up with the fallen tree, press 2 to clamp the end with the arm, and then pull it up with 1, then lets go with 2. Drop the tree on the conveyor. Its what those pipe pieces sticking out on the side of the drills do - they act as clamps.

17:59 - This one's mine! I thought I'd never make it into this series. Thank you for showing it on your video. I'm glad you like the style, I made it by slowly adding more and more stuff from abandoned shops around the map.
It was my first nomad vehicle so It's not complex. After I saw the first episodes of your Nomad series I started my own Nomad world and this was my first nomad vehicle (hence "Nomad Vehicle 1"). Now I switched to a bigger one but I was so attached to this little guy I recreated it in creative. I made replicas of all the survival parts that are not available in the creative mode and all things I couldn't I replaced with similar sized things, for example oil on the shelves is a replacement for seeds. tbh I should've attached all the buttons to the seat but I must've forgotten about it. There is a fully automated watering system you've missed. This "water launcher" is actually the water pump for the watering system, you park next to water, detach the controller holding it in place and hammer it in to suck the water, It's on a long "chain" so it can reach quite far. On the other side is the automatic watering system that can water up to 70 plots and can be easily expanded. Floppy drill is for fun XD Normally I just connected the bearing to a controller when I was drilling and it was powered directly by the driving engine since I didn't have enough resources to make another just for the drill.

my nomad trailer truck actually had a hybrid engine: with W&S you move electric, when pressing 1 the gas engine moves you forward
this is how I drove around electric with a lack of batteries

Not gonna lie, I've been interested in playing scrap mechanic since before I found scrapman, and his nomad survival playthrough makes me want to play so bad.

The chaotic vehicle appealed the most to me, it just fits the game's theme very well! And that amphibic build design with only one thruster in the front was genius!

What? That's how my gaming group built most of our vehicles in our survival world, because we didn't like how blocky they looked otherwise. No wedges in surival, you know... *sad wedge-gang noises*

There are wedges in survival. They're just extremely limited like unicorn blood, leprechaun gold, and my feelings of sympathy towards politicians.
You should do a multi-player nomad series where you all have to live in a big vehicle

I’m pretty sure that you were supposed to use the drill movement in order to pull trees into the conveyor belt.

Next can you make a “floating base” series? It would be interesting to work with weight and get vehicles in there. I mean, you could probably weld it to the ground when you aren’t using it to reduce lag, but every now and then you could disconnect it and go places

Would be interesting to make amphibious vehicles for it too. Then again, they would have to be welded to the base when not in use.

Hey Scrapman, I got an idea for your next survival series. Remember when you were doing the custom themed worlds and you did the Future Military Base? Take that same concept and use it in Scrap Mechanic, build up your base and vehicles to resemble military-esque equipment and structures. I could see you coming up with some amazing concepts and would love to see it. This video was cool, by the way, I dig the idea of nomadic living and survival. Both in real life and in video games. So seeing all these creations for mobile bases, and awesome ones at that, was super cool! Thanks once again for some really great content, lookin forward to your next survival playthrough however you decide to go about it, and can't wait for another Catarinth release. Multiplayer Monday idea.. Maze Runner.. each of you builds a section of maze. Have a couple shooting targets/obstacles to get through each section.
The last vehicle is an example of why you should ALWAYS put the names of the mods you used in the description of the build
Just got recommended this.... and it had my first ever 'proper' scrap mechanic build. which was the 4x4 with ATV. This was built just before survival came out, never thought I would see one of my few creations in a scrapman video!! lol
Thanks for looking at my creation scrapman, it was the one called nomad. It is based off a creation I made in survival, and yes it does pretty good mining on slopes. And yes it does everything, including killing frambots.

11:30 for the tree cutting part, I think you're meant to use the drills to pick up the log, or just get it of the ground, so you can drive forwards and consume it.

You can steal a locker from somewhere in survival, I think the spaceship. We keep ending up with one in our playthroughs.
I find it funny how the first vehicles description says “Yeah it does have everything” and then later says “whatever it’s missing just add those parts”
When I played survival mode, I used clamps with the things that take up items, surrounded it with spinning saw blades and drills on max spin speed and 0 strength suspension
Hey scrapman you should make a survival series of no gun so that means you can’t use a spudgun or the other guns you can only use your hammer and explosives to attack or drills and saws.
To make the mining and logging vehicles work well when a collector is on them is that you need the contact points for the saws and drills to be outside the aoe radius of the collector.
I did not know that. The main thing I was concern with is how to cut down the lag as much as possible when I developed my miner. The secong concern was dealing with the sliding on the slops. The first creation was mine. The saws kill farmbots pretty fast.

When you play the next update and get the battery generator I would like to see you make a power plant on a oil deposit that turns oil into gasoline, puts it in an engine and spins the generator

Maybe the next filler survival could be a continuation of your last nomad world, but it's a more over cautious Scrapman. It'll be Scrap Mechanic Over Cautious Survival: In Search of Nomad Scrapman.
Can't have just a farm with a wooden wall, you've got to have a farm on an island with a 5 block thick wall of metal and wood. Can't build just a base, you've got to build a concrete 3 and metal 3 impregnable fortress that will never be harmed. Can't just go into a wear house with a shield/tank. You must bring a bed, a ton of burgers, and your own kAN Gaming; kosmonaut; and Moonbo to feed you revival baguettes and be extra tape fodde-I mean guns on the ground.
I would love to see a survival series where Scrapman can't use blocks in his builds (except maybe for disconnecting and welding the scrap buildings)

Make the survival new series like, Above Water base?, so you build the base with using bunch of pistons to move it up so you can access it and put somewhere else the button to make the base submerge (but i thought it will bunch of lagging because the mechanics),

day 35 or 36 of asking scrapman to start a Survival series amphibious tank/basically any transportation and floating base/barge (or under water.) But you need mods... it's a require ment to breathe under water, if you want an under water base/transportation. And yes i am talking about the under water fan moonbo reviewed that basically makes water spaces air spaces... if that makes any sense.) (and if you wanted to move the boat/floating base you are able to make thrusters/glitches/mods to do it or by lift or actual push)

I have spend quite a bit of time developing the miner it's based on. The nomad version works great in survival, I don't have to worry about night time with the area light.

Yes thats the bonus that the seat gives. The main reason is the area light. The two switchs on the seat should be hook up to the two logic blocks behind the drivers seat.

@@lillappy7520 Two logic gates are behind the gas canister. One logic gate is conected to the lights, the other logic gate goes to the controller that is in turn conected to the eight max level pistons. The first creation was mine.

#video/idea for ya scrapman, you should do evolve vids but you start with vehicles from the work shop but you have to do your own upgrades to them, you take turns picking a vehicle for each round.
