Blue and White, my favourite combination. I love the skillful use of your older paper to create this luxurious looking card. I think this is a lovely card and perfect for Mother's Day. That was a great idea to offset the silver with embossed white lettering. It allows the letters and flowers to be distinguishable without losing the beauty of either. I hope you get to feeling better quickly. 💕💕💕

I love the large 'Mum' in white with the silver edge Chrissie, and what a wonderful idea to silver emboss the paper with the rose design before die cutting the sweet little flowers, and I'm sure both your ex pupil and her Mum will think this is absolutely beautiful. x

This is a beautiful Mother's Day card Chrissie! I love the colors you used on this one as well as those pretty flowers again. The inking and embossing (wet and dry) gives such a nice deal. Love it! We do say mom or mama here in the States, I've always loved your "mum" version though as well as mama. My late husband used to tell our kids to go ask mother, what did mother say, etc... Moms/Mums answer to almost anything don't we?! LOL Hugs, Brenda
Thank you so much! In the north east of England they tend to say Mam. Lots of upper class people tended to keep saying mummy even into adulthood. The king used to refer to his mother as Mama… (short first a, long second a)
@@Chrissieannie Yes, I say mam a lot too. I've heard the King say Mummy, but not sure if I've heard him say Mama with the short a and long a sound. I might have though. It is interesting though isn't it?! Love hearing different pronunciations on English words.

This is gorgeous. I wonder why we say Mom and you use Mum? The google-er has a long winded explanation but it seems back to 1867 we started using this short version of mother. Old English adopted Mum. I had a friend with an English mother who always used Mum. Mam is the oldest version of all, with Mum next and then Mom…and that is more than you wanted to know! Love your card! Have lots of that old paper too…not using it either!❤
