- Nepal broke a number of Twenty20 records as they thrashed Mongolia by 273 runs in the opening match of the Asian Games men's cricket competition in Hangzhou, China.

Nepal scored 314 runs to become the first side to break the 300 mark in a T20 international match while Kushal Malla broke the record for the fastest century, reaching 100 in only 34 balls. His teammate Dipendra Singh Airee broke the record for fastest half-century when he made his 50 from nine balls, with Nepal also hitting a record 26 sixes in the match.

Everyone has to start their journey somewhere. Cricket was introduced late to the countries that were not ruled by the Britishers, both Nepal and Mongolia in this case. Nepal started in the 2000s, and Mongolia is now starting. If Mongolia is to take cricket seriously, be ready for neglect and the lack of support from the cricket's governing body.

A big congratulations to Nepali cricketers for smashing all the records and massive respect to the young Mongolian cricket team. People complain the ground is short but you can see almost all the sixes they hit have gone past the trees so that almost 70 m sixes which is quite remarkable.

There's nothing to really take from this match though, obviously Mongolia isn't exactly a traditional cricketing nation. It seems this was the first international they've ever played.
That's not meant as an insult to the Mongolian team, cricket just hasn't developed yet.
Nepal is in the same performance bracket as teams like Ireland & Afghanistan(though their fast rise may have been ruined now, due to the taliban).

In Asia Cup Babar Azam n Shubman Gill made more runs against Nepal team n their runs r added to boost their ODI ranking . And both cricketers r now 1st n 2nd positions as highest run scorer.
