I had a 1993 Tata Estate. Used to do regular trips between Bangalore and South Kerala. Never gave any trouble. Loved that majestic car and still nostalgic about it. Made a great road-presence. The only problem I had was that the Aircon was not adequate for the large area but I managed with a Polythene Curtain.

Dear - the steering wheel is Tilt and Telescopic - We used it for 10 years.
Now we are Using Toyota Innova full option - but Estate is best ever i drive for long run.
Only problem is with parking- need bit more space.

My uncle who was a diplomat at that time had this car. We were amazed by the level of features in this car one thing you missed it had reflective lights which turn on when you open door To warn others cars. It’s driver used to complain that it needs computerised wheels alignment. Which was not a common thing back then.

Recently I changed the original Lumax headlamp of my Estate.Only did to get a fresh look.When the new light assy came I was amazed by the weight of that unit.Weight of 1 stock lumax headlamp was more than of new 2 assy.(not by lumax).ie TATA.Lumax was original Japan unit.Rear suspension setup is also great.Thickness of all the suspension bars are greater compared to even the new gen vehicles

This reminds me of our 2nd hand well maintained estate white colour which my dad brought it from our distant relative in 1998 though it was 1994 model.. It was a king in those days... We used to go to banglore to Kerala frequently and especially in Kerala everyone used to come n peep thru our windows.. Very spacious boot space and comfortable for long trips.. Excellent ac with power windows and superb breaks and big speakers in the boot...

Loved the nostalgia. I would like to put forward a small correction to what's said in the video. The Tata Sierra was the first to launch in 1991 and Tata Estate was launched after that in 1992 with both cars sharing the same 70 bhp naturally aspirated diesel engine. The turbo Sierra was launched much later after the launch of Tata sumo. We had the first Sierra of Thrissur which was bought from the then dealer Shakthi Automobiles in Feb 1992
