Makes for a fabulous background for underwater coral scenes.
How I used Saran Wrap today: wrapped my knee to keep it dry during shower now that I’m allowed a shower following total knee replacement!!
Prayers Rebecca for pain to be lessened and healing to be rapid! ❤
That’s how I used Saran Wrap also . Gotta love Saran Wrap.
@@Teresa63274 prayers you are healing quickly!
Good to know. I’m having mine on July 15!
Hope you are doing well. I'm 5 days post op and feeling pretty miserable. Best wishes.
Beautiful cards. I agree that both of the blue-toned ones would be lovely sympathy cards.
Always fun to bring back forgotten techniques!
The cards are gorgeous and the word of the day is a hoot as always!
I wished I was part of the live to comment on these beautiful cards and to laugh at Tom's Word of the Day. These are beautiful. What a great technique. I'm going to try this for sure. I can do this
Watching the replay again. Beautiful cards. Enjoy your ideas so much.
I am in the sponge-painting generation too. I like the look of this technique!
I have only ever used one color with the Saran. Wow! The possibilities!
Watching the replay. Absolutely will have to try these techniques. The lattice card is stunning ❤ Thanks ☺️
Yep, and I did the sponge paint to kitchen walls, above chair rail. I loved it when I did it and still love it. And I'm 52 this year.
Love your program you and Tom are a pleasure to watch
I can't believe that you referred to sponge painting on walls. and hoped that others are of a similar age. I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw you starting this card. I am one of those people who did this on walls for clients years ago and yes I used cling wrap. I also did this technique with clean cloth rags ( a much chunkier look) . I also did a similar technique using cheap feather dusters - you know those horrid pink feather dusters from the dollar stores?. I called it my chicken feet technique. Amazing how things come and go and come and go, time after time. today crochet vests and macrame are back in vogue.
Fabulous idea Gina. Love it.
Watching the replay…great ideas
i love the way you made these cards. Great job young lady.
We own a lamp store, and we make lamp shades. I sponge painted shades back in the 90s. Sold several custom orders. I forgot about that until you mentioned sponge painting walls!😅😅
Love your cards so much!!
Beautiful!
Love your ideas and the cards are beautiful!
If you did this technique with black cardstock and white pigment ink, it would look like one of those composition notebooks!
Beautiful cards❤
Lynn Le Bel Great technique! I did sponge painting years ago!
What a great idea! I am going to give this a try❤
Gorgeous cards Gina! ❤ And oh man, that word of the day had me cracking up! 😂 Thanks Tom!
You two crack me up. LOL. Cementiment
Must try this
Why would anyone complain about finger movements????? Your video tutorials are great JUST THE WAY THEY ARE! Geeesh! STOP complaining!
Saying it 'al-u-minium' is the way folks say it in Europe and Australia; 'realized' in America is pronounced and spelled 'realised' across the pond as well as many other words!! You said 'Aluminum' correctly as we ALL say it that way in America!!
watching the replay and yes i did alot of sponge painting back in the day
This is so fun!! I love silhouettes for sympathy cards. The masking magic strips put my OCD in overdrive!! I would have to use a lattice background die and cut a mask. 😂😂
Very pretty cards! Another tool you can use for this technique is a sea sponge.
Request. When you list the items used for the cards, etc, can you add a section for the word of the day? Love this technique and the cards.
Watching the replay. These cards are beautiful. What a great technique. This was another fun video. 😊🤗
Beautiful results! Thanx.
I must try all of these design ideas. Clever!
Love the colors you picked out.😊
Love this technique. Saran wrap is on my table
I did something like this a few years ago. I printed out 1/2 a sheet of card stock in one go, and used a piece of Saran Wrap that was about 1 1/2 - 2 times larger than the card stock. On a protected surface, I spread the Saran Wrap out, then, with my finger tips, I crushed up the wrap so it was very bumpy all over. I gently patted a very juicy ink pad (this technique didn’t work with all of the ink pads I tried though) all over it, then gently pressed the card stock onto it. I mostly used just one ink color, and it made larger and very dramatic patterns of color that way. The patterns were so interesting that I only had to put a small label with a greeting on each card and it was done!
I really like that you made different shapes for your ink printing, so now I need to try that too!
Oo_Oo I like the graphics in the opening!
Hi from Granbury. Texas
I was just thinking that sponge painting is awesome! Did that to my kitchen walls!!
Your saran wrapper stamping turned out beautiful. I just tried it too and love it.
Gina, love, love, love your creativity!!!
Caught the replay and absolutely loved this technique ❤all 3 cards were gorgeous and yes I’m always doing cementine 😅
Love the cards… and word of the day!!!!
Thank you Gina for another wonderful Live!❤
I like wrapping rubber bands around something (like an ink pad or a cup) and using it just like you do the Saran Wrap. I saw it on a video once and use it now.
I’m one of your dated sponge technique on walls. Did it in guest bathroom. Loved it. Gotta try this. Thanks
Hi Gina, Ellie from Great Britain, the Saran Wrap looks a lot thicker than what we have here. I want to try this so I will have to try various different brands.
I’m trying to use up what I already have so I can save money for my retirement 😀😀
Beautiful ❤
I appreciate that you showed three different backgrounds using the Saran Wrap. I was surprised you didn’t use the black pearls on the last card.
What a fun technique!! Also, enjoyed everyone's suggestions, I came away with all sorts of ideas.
Tom...I'm very good at cementemints!! 😂😂😂
PS - Wild Blossoms is one of my go-to stamp sets.😊
I loved sponge painting!
Watching the replay, lovely idea your are sharing with us.
My neighbor had me sponge paint every wall in her 3 bedroom house, way back in 1992 lol
Wow! I ❤ the blue oval card!
Love it.
Hi Gina &🤠 from 🥰🦘🦘🦘 Adelaide South Australia 🌧️🌧️🌧️
I love scrunching up anything to make a pattern that's totally unique. Silhouette stamps, a few ink pads, greetings & a gift box of cards is a breeze! Enjoy everyone! 🙏🌹
Very cool technique
Lovely cards, Gina! I still use the sponge painting as a background on art journal pages sometimes! 🙂
It has been freezing cold and raining here in Melbourne all day.
Great cards as always. I missed the live :( but I can always catch up here :). Thank you!!
Beautiful cards as always ❤
Yep sponge walls.
Can’t wait to try this
The diamond back ground with the oranges and pink look like it was foiled. Very pretty
I sure did sponge painting in my home
Happy crafternoon to you too!❤
Such cut carda
Wow Gina, I love this idea for a background. How do you always come up with such cool ideas? 😮😊❤
Actually sponge painted my bedroom walls 20 years ago. Still there.
Sponge painting!! YES!!
Edited to add…I did use crumpled brown paper sacks…feathers…you name it and I tried it. Lol. …oh, and plastic grocery bags.
Good morning - watching from New Zealand 🇳🇿 😊
Hello from Cali!
beautiful card
First shaving cream and now Saran wrap! What will Gina think of next?? Love the cards and techniques! ❤❤
The one with the blue oval would make a lovely sympathy card.
Here in Brisbane Australia we are in winter. Sunday's Temperatures are forecast to be 15 to 26 degrees Celsius (59 to 78.8 Fahrenheit)
Watching the replay......
I have used this technique before and it makes gorgeous backgrounds . Thanks for reminding to use this again
Yes I remember sponging paint on walls.
I sponge painted some room!
Watching from steamy Fla while putting my face on.
sorry for the question. i noticed that your blending brushes are not covered in any way. wont they dry up
No, they don't dry up at all. :) I use dye ink which is water based so the water just evaporates without any issue to the brushes.
@@GinaKDesigns-StampTV oh thank you
First pronunciation is right in my opinion. AlumiNUM
Are the masking strips sold in New Zealand?
Yes, they should be! :)
Could washi tape be used in place of the masking magic?
Maybe. Some is light-tack enough, but some will tear the paper.
Okay... that's good to know, thanks. I'm just starting on my card making journey. @@GinaKDesigns-StampTV
It's a public holiday in New Zealand, otherwise wouldn't have caught you live.
Note: I made the comment about the sympathy card before you did, Gina! 😁
