I have the METE SF and love it! You donât see many reviews of it compared to the SFT and SFX. I shoot it the best out of all of my pistols.
I have mine or order. If I didn't live in the worst state in the country (NJ) I'd have the firearm by now. I'm a month in, they still haven't ran any of my info for the permit.
How ya liking the METE SF?
Wouldnât take any handgun over my Canik. I bought the SF, then a SF Elite, SFX. Then I got my Canik executive combat. The executive combat is my personal favorite. Iâm 5â6 145 lbs. The selling point for me and the Exec Combat was the grip being smaller n size. The flat blade trigger is amazing.
Can you conceal your executive combat?
If the Canik SFx Rival was made in the states or by CZ or FN you would pay a lot more than the $679 retail that's for sure. Are any of those pistols perfect? No there's no perfect firearm and there never be one , but it's sure is fun trying many different firearms to try and find that so called perfect firearm.
Caniks are awesome. The problem is the full-size magazines have been almost impossible to find for damn near 2 years.
They're definitely out here now.
@@adamcallahan242 I've looked as recently as the last couple of weeks. I searched about a dozen websites and all my local shops. Zero. No 18 or 20 rounders.
I just bought a couple 18 rders (OEM mecgar) from midwest gun works. Might be out of stock now but keep an eye on it.

@@Jake42O Absolutely. The problem with Glock is that it has to be modified from the jump for it to even compare with say the Mete SFT. Which means you have to spend more money ontop of purchase price of the Glock which is already higher on average than near every Canik.

Currently running the combat elite executive. Perfect gun. I just had bad habits. Im coming from a 1911 of 8 years to a modern pistol. Had to adjust how high my palms were to prevent jamming. So far its been butter
Awesome comparison video. Thanks for the info! Iâve been carrying my Canik TP9 Elite Combat in my Vedder Light Tuck IWB holster for about 6 months now. Itâs my EDC and I absolutely love shooting it at the range. I love my Glocks too, no doubt. But when I go to the range my buddies that also have and carry Glocks ask to see what Iâm carrying. When I show them, some say âWhoa! Great looking gun. And I heard they shoot well.â Then I let them run a mag or two through it. A couple of my friends actually went out and bought one right away. My next Canik is going to be the Rival Dark Side. I love how it looks! And being a Canik, I KNOW how it will shoot. Like butta!

i bought the grey version of the Rival last week.. 1st class build quality; totally reliable, excellent trigger making it a very fast shooter, very accurate, great sights and top capacity with Mec-Gar mags.. 20 rounders are available. These are the qualities I need in a carry weapon as a bodyguard..

I have the TP 9 SA, TP 9 DA, METE SFT, METE SFX and just picked up my Rival SFX today. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I'm sure I will love it! Caniks were my first and only striker fired pistols!
The new METE SFT Pro basically has a Rival slide on it, just shorter. I just purchased one yesterday, awesome trigger on it. The aluminum base plates that come with the Rival are causing a seating issue with the SFT, you can just pull them right out of the mag well, mag is not engaging the mag catch. Calling Canik about it tomorrow. Also Legacy Firearms makes a holster for the Rival.

I got two Caniks and they are my favorite pistols. Got a TP9SF back in 2016, and an Elite SC last year. These new models look superb, and continue to cement Canik as a top brand.
Thank you for this video. I love Canik firearms, because they live up to their motto. To me Canik should place energy on getting magazines available for us. Producing newer models is great for , however what is the sense in buying a newer Canik, when we canât get magazines for the SFX in either the 18 or 20 round capacity. Next, I wish they would make optic ready slides for the SF Elite that will allow for co-witnessing with the sights. Lastly when are they going to produce a 40 S&W model. That to me is more important than producing another 9mm. Maybe they should also up their game by looking at getting into the modularity technology. That would help increase they fan base.
Mags have been plentiful for weeks now. Checking after reading this, I found 6 sites that have them in stock, MA550 and MA 548 (20 and 18 rounders)
I want canik to bring their metal framed hammer fired guns like the shark and the stingray. Yes I know Tristar imports some but they aren't quite the same.

The backstrap where the gun meets with the web of your hand is really noticeable...compared to the old models they modified the gripđ€đ đ€
I just picked up my Rival on Friday and am looking forward to getting to the range with it. Feels amazing in the hand and that trigger is the best factory trigger on the market by far.

I have a Canik Mete SFT and it is amazing, holster is hard to find but it does fit in a holster for Sig Sauer P320
What's your take on the SA mod 2?... just got one and haven't taken it out yet...any ammo specific recommendations? And Or accessories suggestions?
I agree with you friend, the best gun I own is my Canik Mete SFT. I also own the TP9 Elite Combat. Which I use as Home defense. Great video!
Had the SFT but it jammed on me :/ and Iâm sure I wasnât limp wristing so idk but it was on the 3rd mag so I sold it the same week

@@connorgreiner Either the holster that came with It, or if I want a slightly smaller conceal carry, there is a holster made for S&W SD9VE that fits it pretty nicely, a conceal carry one.
TP9 DA has been my EDC for six years hundreds of rounds with zero malfunctions. Best stock trigger besides 1911

I have fallen in love with my Canik TP9DA I am using it as my everyday carry I'm an extra large hand yet it fits comfortably. I use 115 grain FMJ and 115 grain Hollow point. My next gun is going to be the Elite. Do a Diamondback DB-15
I admit, Canik has won my loyalty. Just wish they had other calibers. 10mm, .357 SIG, .380 and so forth.

They're coming out with the Mete SFX pro which will be a combination of mete and rival... Would love to see a Rival SFT... They also said they will be expanding their accessories and importing from Canik to Century Arms around 25,000 mags per month soonđ€
Look at the METE SFT Pro, basically a shorter Rival, just got one and it is awesome!
I wouldnât count on a Rival SFT. That wouldnât really make sense. The SFX Rival is their competition gun. An SFT version would have a shorter slide and barrel which would not be desirable for competition. And the Mete SFT Pro and SFX Pro are still fully intended to be service style guns. Polymer trigger instead of aluminum in the Rival, doesnât use the adjustable rear sight, no fiber front sight, and not quite as crazy with the slide milling. Plus they both get the threaded barrel. They are still pretty sweet, though. Iâd get one, but I really have no use for a threaded barrel. It would be cool to have an option to skip just that piece of the puzzle.

The Rival was issued specifically for competition shooting with input from Nils Jonasson , the Canik sponsored pro shooter. The Mete was intended more for EDC and duty use . They should have called it the Canik Nils lol like the Sig P320 Max for Max Michel.

All triggers on caniks are made by canik. The collaboration with SA is the barrel and mag well.

Had a METE SFT and it jammed on me the 3rd mag and Iâm sure I wasnât limp wristing it :/ heart broken cause I love Canik and I had a DA too but sold it as well and sold the SFT same week but I still miss my DA out of both

@@beerman9807 Try to find some factory Canik 18 or 20 round magazines. They've been nearly impossible to get for about 2 years.
@@beerman9807 I've been to almost every gun store and/or pawn shop in Miami looking for factory Canik magazines and nothing! If you know where I can get some, let me know. Holsters are an entirely different animal. I use a drop leg rig and even my alien gear holster is quite right.

No mention of the Canik METE SF, Glock 19 size, pistol? Great 15 round, concealable, Canik pistol smaller than the SFT or SFX versions.

Hey guys. I've been trying to help my girlfriend pick out her first gun (everyday carry gun) and one of the guns I recommended for her to look at is the Canik Tp9 Elite Sc. I've heard nothing but great things about this gun and on paper, it seems to be the best gun for her on paper and I'd like to know what your experiences are with this gun (please be honest). If you have any better recommendations feel free to list them. :)
Look at Cleveland Kydex as well for holsters.

Can you swap slides between the Tp9sf Elite and the Elite Combat ?
No because when you break down the combat the slide comes all the way forward to take down. the sf doesn't
I was actually very wrong they do break down the same . sorry for the misinformation..I tryed and it work ..even with the mete sft and combat elite but have to use their complete slide with barrel because the combat has the thread cover ..unless you shoot with out it if you Wana use the barrel on the mete

I've always had Glocks & Smith & Wesson semi auto pistols after watching many CZcams videos and reading lots of positive reviews bought my daughter a Canik TP9 Elite SC for her birthday a few weeks ago..the first time we went to the gun range to fire the new Canik had several misfires right off the bat! Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake purchasing the Canik TP9 Elite SC for her EDC. Have you heard of that model having issues?
Try more powerful ammo. It definitely hates reload ammo
I had issues as well with bullets properly ejecting, lots of jams at first. When I contacted century arms they sent me a new and different spring and havenât had problems since. The gun is new and needs some time to break in
The springs are NATO spec so it may need a break-in period when using 115gr. or lighter range ammo. It was designed specifically for 124gr. NATO spec ammo to be used. Either thru use, replacement with a lighter spring, or leaving the slide racked back it will break in eventually.

Bruh. Respectfully. Of course the Combat Elite has a smaller grip, itâs the compact TP9. Comparable to the G19. The SFT is a full size model. Comparable to the G17.
Comparable to the glock 19 is the subcompact in barrel size. The tp9 has a glock 17 size barrel.
@@RealWorldTactical The stock TP9SF Elite is a direct competitor to the G19. Frame and barrel. The TP9SF Elite Combat Executive with the threaded barrel has a G17 sized barrel on a G19 sized frame.

Would be nice if they increased production of the extended mags, theyâre like unicorns.
Their magazines in general are hard to find. and when they are in stock online somewhere they're gone in minutes.

Caniks are awesome, I just don't understand why they kept the rear iron sights on the mete but you lose them on the rival when you take the plate off and install a reflex sight.
You do know the Rival dark side comes with a plate with a rear sight
@@ammogiant824 so it comes with a plate that allows you to keep the rear iron sights when you remove the cover and install a sight? I held one yesterday a day saw that the rear sights are attached to the plate cover, doesn't that mean that you lose them when you remove the plate cover?
@@5.7Hemi4x4 yes after you remove the covee with the rear sights you loose the rear sight. However you need to use a plate to mount a red dot, so they include a total of 5 plates and one plate has rear sights built into the plate. The one downfall is you can only use a mico red dot with the plate that has the sights. Hope this helps.
