A typical producer today would've turned this into a Future Bass track. But Feed Me sticks to his sound and makes classic house! Such a unique producer, never die Jon
it is classic but it has his own touch on it, it feels different. Love the percussions, it's almost characteristic to techno. This is progressive house but with a feed me touch that's what I love.
Definitely reminiscent of progressive house from the 2007ish era. A sound you don’t hear anymore. Light stabs of the strings with little compressions. Reminds of “I remember” from way back when.
Also, I agree that future bass is getting a bit overdone now. Especially since many of them use the same generic patterns and synths during production and end up sounding almost the same across 8 or so tracks.
I feel like many people dismiss the fact that EDM can actually have real emotion behind it. This track certainly proves that this type of music is capable of producing such deep emotion.
People are too closed minded. Everyone likes edm, they just don't know it yet, it may take them a while to open up to it, but i guarantee you everyone has a genre that makes them happy or in a dancy mood or just feel awesome!
It's not that hard to do when you start with a very emotional non EDM track and just add a little bit of house beats to it. Not saying Feed Me has no talent, he did a fantastic job selecting and remixing this song and I much prefer this to the original, but the emotion on this track was 90% already there before he picked it up. I just think we need to give credit where credit is due.
Zyne The potential for that might be, but the fact is that many will go to their deaths still blind to it. And many people simply do not have a rhythmic bone in their being. Be grateful for the beauties you and your peeps can perceive but nobody else.... And let's carry it together into eternity
Miles Prower feed me is really hard to pin down as one genre but typically “dubstep” except he has really created his own path in EDM and incorporates pretty much every type of genre. That why I love his music so much. Guess you could say it’s a form of glitch dubstep.
Saw Feed Me shows in San Diego and Santa Ana in 2011. A special couple of nights for sure. (And some festival sets before that). My buddy and I were in from the east coast and we took our friend who knew nothing about EDM to the San Diego show a few nights before. Epic. He was disturbed and amazed all at once. He was a one show wonder, though. My boy I traveled with and I doubled up and caught this show in Santa Ana on August 9th, 2011. Having seen rusko, skream and benga, and many other hardcore legends, I had my top show bar set high and I had only seen shorter Feed Me sets at festies. The San Diego show wowed me but the show in Santa Ana… I don’t even know how to describe it. I realized how special this musician was that night. A special night of music in a pure era of EDM. I walked away from it in 2012 (damn wife!) but I’m glad to have experienced the greats in their prime in an era that we all felt so much energy at these shows. Completely agree with what’s been said here and that’s coming from an original spor/feed me fan who walked away from it all and hadn’t listened to this genius since that last show in 2011 - such a special artist. God bless, all friends!
I get a very personal feeling from the song. Feels from the heart. The video glitching through videos like I do coke makes me feel like like the track is introspective, and has a form of reflection on his personal experiences and emotions as an artist. The song is sad, uplifting, cathartic, and beautiful at the same time. I love it
Lyrics: [Verse 1] The day you called, the sun was big and low, to the ground The cold, it froze my fingers tight Time was still and I was lost from sight for a while The callers knew to turn me loose [Pre-Chorus] You had my heart, I knew it from the start You had my heart, be it cold inside And every picture made, and every song that played Was tattooed on my skin forever [Chorus] You ain't ever gonna feel love You won't ever feel the way this hurts 'Cause all the memories that we dreamed of now Have all been washed away Do you (Feel love, feel love) Do you ever want to feel love? (Feel love, feel love) Do you ever feel the way this hurts? (Feel love, feel love) 'Cause all the memories that we dreamed of now (Feel love, feel love) Have all been washed away, oh oh [Post-Chorus] You ain’t ever gonna feel love You won’t ever feel the way this hurts [Verse 2] The day you called, the sun was big and low, to the ground The cold, it froze my fingers tight Time was still and I was lost from sight for a while The callers knew to turn me loose I was tired of going back to you, oh so tired You played the love that let me down Now it's me that walks alone on shiny ice that breaks to the core This heart has shattered to the ground [Pre-Chorus] You had my soul, I felt it taking hold You had my soul, God only knows That every picture made, and every song that played Was tattooed on my skin forever [Chorus] You ain't ever gonna feel love You won't ever feel the way this hurts 'Cause all the memories that we dreamed of now Have all been washed away Do you (Feel love, feel love) Do you ever want to feel love? (Feel love, feel love) Do you ever feel the way this hurts? (Feel love, feel love) 'Cause all the memories that we dreamed of now (Feel love, feel love) Have all been washed away, oh oh (Ooh) [Post-Chorus] You ain’t ever gonna feel love You won’t ever feel the way this hurts You ain’t ever gonna feel love You won’t ever feel the way this hurts [Outro] You ain’t ever gonna feel love You won’t ever feel the way this hurts
