I once had a ride on my friend, Brian Cooper's 1929 race tuned Rudge Ulster, back in 1989. It was a revelation, as the performance was level with 1980's Japanese 500cc 4 strokes. Brian died in 2021. Rudge introduced many motorcycle innovations, that are still in use place today, such as linked brakes, left hand gear pedal/right hand brake pedal & RFVC (Radial Four Valve Combustion). Rudge were also the first to produce a "Ton Up" 250cc domestic road bike, the 1938 Rapide, beating Suzuki's T20 "Super Six" by 30 years.

No old 250 will do the ton on the flat. 😂Off a cliff maybe. The T20 might do 90.
If only they'd put two carbs and one exhaust.
💃 P R O M O S M!
