Nvs Audio’s review of the new Hertz high power motorcycle amp.
The SP 4.900 does
250 x 4 rms into 2 ohms
160 x 4 rms into 4 ohms
500 x 2 rms bridged into 4 ohms
Great sounding powerful amp

@NVSAUDIO I bought this last year and only have a 6 month riding season and now it has a dead left rear channel and if it only has a 1 year warranty then it's now out of warranty. I will probably send it back to Hertz for repair and then sell it! It was installed by a local audio shop.

Plus this amp is like water proof to an extent. I read about it it’s a kick ass amp ! I’ve got there 8 inch SPL show in my 4Runner doors they go down to 50 hz . I don’t have them running that low ! Your right on hooking up one of those three wires . Also three wires will be more prone to failure than one wire will be . You look like you have your work cut out for you I’m use to a little more room under the front seats ! Great video man information is through the roof ! Keep on rockin with hertz!
Now what I wanna know is sonically is this amp superior to the SD 800.4. SD has the size advantage and dare I say it, price advantage, but if the Hertz is sonically superior then that will change the game for me. I'm assuming there is a 2 channel and 1 channel coming out in the same chassis, maybe beefier PS?

Would you recommend this amp over 2 SD800s?
Is there any adverse effects of using multiple power and ground wires that way rather than one larger wire ?

Thanks for an excellent review of this new amp. Just one question. I have a 2021 RG Limited with a WHMM and XM module installed in the GTS head unit. Will those add-ons make the installation of this amp more challenging than it already is? Thanks again and keep up the great work!

I have a 2019 Harley Davidson Ultra limited and I plan to mount two sx 165 neo speakers in the front and 2 sv 165 neo speakers in the tourpack and 2 sx 690 Neo speakers in the trunk (saddlebags). With a single Hertz SP4.900 amplifier, will it be adequate to move the entire set of speakers mentioned?
It says in the manual bridged use input 1 and 2 if I'm reading correctly,you said 1 and 3 can you clarify thank you
Basically the same size as a 2400, 800.4 seems to be a more versatile amp for motorcycle.

Hey Carlos could I use the amp as a 3 channel. Say use 1 channel for both tweets, and use 2 channels for the 6.5 sx165? Buddy of mine says they'll handle a lot more power than what they're rated for. I've been using hsk165 for years when it was never designed for mobile usage lol and pushing them with the small jl audio amp. Wanting to make it sound perfect this time around. Just got the sx165 speakers so wanting to install them along with the tweeters I already have mounted into the fairing and install a new undated amp
