awesome living. you are very wealthy to have so much under your control. you dont need to go to the supermarket, you are the supermarket ! awesome you even have a pond for fish. awesome.
Late to the party as usual but felt the need to comment. You sir have an amazing farm, where you see "not enough" I see miracles. The fruit, vegetables and fish would make a pretty great income. The textiles are amazing. A corner of the farm dedicated to a B&B (or in Thai Homestay) where you provide those meals you shown cooking would be a paradise awaited for travelers or friends. And the most important and absolutely most valuable of all the farm, FAMILY. A Thai family that loves you and accepts you as a part of it (instead of a un-emptiable bank vault) is the best thing ever. I don't have the financial wherewithal to create an oasis such as this but my life is a wonderfully full and happy one. Peace out my ex-pat brother and enjoy that life now, because everyday is precious. |
Thanks for the visit into your life and the time it takes to make these videos!
This is soul food. You can't beat living of the land in rural Thailand. Feeling connected - feeling alive! Great video.

Lovely video. Really inspiring. I have lived in the city all of my life but self sufficiency seems not only rewarding but also smart.
You have such a beautiful farm! Love the fact that you don’t use any chemicals on the the plants and organic materials on the fabrics. It’s great that the entire family are on board to help out with everything you do on the farm…….good luck!

Glad you liked it!
I live 30km from Sakhon, I am a farmer from UK, I find land here way to much for its return.
I have a little girl too..
Anyway good blog
Sawasdi! He looks like he invested alot of money in equipment etc. Easier to be efficient and self sufficient when you have such fancy gear. I hope all is well with you. What do you produce from your land just out of interest. Am a big fan of Thailand and Thai culture etc. Great country from what I have seen and learnt about. All the best from Sussex England
Lets gear up
So how much do you have to pay per Rai for farm land?
@@Oggiwara1 hi Svein depend on location start about 45kbaht /ray no shanot and about 80k
@@cegthailand Thai price 20-30 K Thb. Falang price 40 K - 1 Mill.
I paid 50 K /Rai for a 20 Rai operating rubber/fruit farm in the rural Nong Khai Province. The asking price was 150 K/Rai. I'm okay with that.
Good jobs.
I hope to visit you sometime soon.
Peaceful place for living.
Cool, multi-talented wife, incredible farm and care for the land! Soon I hope to be back home in Udon Thani, then I can come to visit if you have any time, ha ha ha! Subscribed!
cool, amazing, this video should get more views ...
greetings from indonesian
Thanks. Hope you share
@@DestinationThailandTV okay...
i would like to come and visit your farm
i am near to Nakhon Phanom, for next 3 weeks.
Your farm is beautiful, but more work than i want to do.
Nice my country
Very nice exemple
Sir, i have a big dream which is you have succeed in your life now. I completely hate congcrit life... I am making my house to a natural and farming temple.... When i see this type of vedio. I khow is my last work at my home... Thank you so much sir.
there only one thing missing on the farm.... more kids !
Thai women are very hardworking people....
I hear that it is beautiful there and out of the beating path in Thailand . It just my own thing , i never goes to the two provinces in Thailand that eat dogs . It is just heart broken for me . I am an animals lover . I adopted 5 homeless dogs of my own in 2015 . I know that not everyone there do that . It sounds like such a low mentality person to think that way but it actually exist but now it seems like the law is getting better in enforcing that . You have lot of animals and organic farming looks beautiful and thanks you for sharing
Amazing farm you have built there Thomas and family.. We have a similar farm although much much smaller (2 rai) in Korat. Being self sufficient is also our aim or at least reduce the amount of times we need to visit the market.
Is your farm open to visits? Would love you come and see what you're doing there. We have many plants/herbs/fruits growing (more than 50) and we are still in the trial and error stage so would love to get some tips and tricks on what you find best.
Since Thomas mentioned he figured he'd need around a 100 rai farm to be self-sufficient, what do you feel? Could you make a 2 rai farm work? I feel 100 rai is huge and certainly it should be possible to be self sufficient with a much smaller farm, but I guess it very much depends on your lifestyle.
@@wolfgangschreurs8700 Hi Wolfgang, 100rai is alot of land and would need workers for sure. Our land is just 2 rai around the house and just a small garden project really but we spend 5hrs+ each day tending to it. We have a lot of ripe Papaya and Mango now as well as fresh duck and chicken eggs that we get daily and all the short term veg that we grow as well. The fish pond is doing really well and biodiverse with an abundance of fish, shrimp and mussels. All the other trees won't be ready for a few more years yet. Although we won't be 100% self sufficient we will have a substantial amount of product grown at home with the small amount of land we have.
Great video. I really enjoyed watching. I am retired and farm Longan in Lamphun province. My Partners aunt and uncle are retired school teachers there .
Thank you for sharing.
sweeet life! ✌
Nice video. What type of grass did you use for your lawns?
I have an excellent income from my retirement and have a good increase every year.
E absolute Troum !!
Dear Sir, I want to know about any medicine that can spray on flowers for pollination specially for Pointed Gourd/Potol/Karkol ? We are tired of hand pollination. Please help.
👍
How long did it take to build this farm ?
Gorgeous property...hate the music tho...
Wonder what this dudes history and skills are before going to do this in thailand
Aberdeen uk 😊.
Does someone know what kind of Business he runs in Bangkok? Thanks
hi nice viedo ferry butiful.can i ask do u have snakes in ur farm ???
How much the salary of being a undergraduate in agriculture in Thailand?
If you can buy 100 rai of land means you are a millionaire already and don't need the farm to survive but is just a hobby
my wife wants a home with a large yard to plant vegetables and trees. I think 4 rai of land would be enough for my wife.
How much land did you buy, how much did it cost to build your home ?
Gd
How can I find take care of me that speaks English if I were to go there and retire any help you can give me would really be appreciated thank you in advance Tom Ross
How much was the cost of land?

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🇹🇭😁🤟👍
Tip? Hier in Bangkok habe ich eine Produktion mit Massmode und Konfektion.
Hallo Norbert. Bist du jetzt in Aranyaprathet ? Liebe Grüsse aus der Schweiz Thomas
Does this family have a CZcams channel. I enjoyed this very much, and would like to see more of them. Please someone help me, on this family location, and thank you very much.

@@DestinationThailandTV I am trying to locate this family on a youtube channel. What you are referring me is not about this family it is Destination Thailand. Thanks though for your efforts.
Do you have contact information for Vilamas Ranch? I am Canadian and my wife is Thai from Sakon Nakhon. We own 12 Rai of land in Sakon Nakhon and will be eventually buying more and want a setup exactly like this. We may be in need of some advice in the future
Hi. You can find them on Google
@@DestinationThailandTV it is amazing that folks hold something in their hand that can find anyone, find any place, find most any information and they are totally oblivious to this other than posting on FB or CZcams. You destination Thailand have the patience of Job.
How did you buy the land? Foreigners cant buy a land like this in Thailand it s illegal
❤❤🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭❤🤝❤🇧🇩🇧🇩🇧🇩❤❤
How to contac for go there
Cool farm, please less of the weird overpowering music ;)
Your cash burn rate is looking high .
Do you have snakes on your farm ? I wouldn't mind but would be concerned for family.
