- JERUSALEM, Israel - Christians on every continent can share stories of persecution and brutality, but few governments have a more alarming reputation for their treatment of Christians than Iran.
Marziyeh Amirizadeh is a remarkable Iranian Christian woman who was sentenced to death, and endured torture and incarceration in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison. Time and again, she stood up to the authorities, all the while meditating on God's word and growing in her faith while suffering the loss of loved ones.
Marzi, as she is known, eventually escaped Iran and started a new life in the U.S. Today, she travels the world sharing her inspiring story of faith in the face of persecution, and she acts as an advocate for the Iranian people's freedom.

I am a quiet Christian , but resolute in my belief. On the day I buried my Father, whilst I was curled up in bed at night, trying to make sense of his early passing, my feet were cold, and I decided to go and get an extra blanket to keep me warm . At that instant my feet were warmed , not a heat, but by a warmth that made me feel secure and reassured that my Father was not gone, but had transferred to the next phase. I have only previously related this experience to my sister, no one else. Listening to this women describe her experience has made me smile , and fill my heart with peace, love , and a resolve that cannot be defeated ...!

The Iranian Christians are always in our prayer also. Praise the LORD.
I remember them and the burden to intercede for them during their time at that prison, I wrote them through voices of the martyrs and also emailed the Iranian embassy about them. I’ve never forgot the privilege I had in just being able to pray for them❤️🙌🥰

What an mazing story of faith and courage, I salute this woman, now living happily in Israel. I am Jewish, born in Israel, my parents emigrated from Iran. I heard their persecution stories by the Moslem Shiites, and now this happening to our Christian brothers. I can only wish my Iranian brethren in Iran to wake up and realize that religious fanaticism is antithetical to the glorious history of the Persian empire, which was most tolerant for all religious minorities, without Darius the great Jewish history would not exist.
