Michelle Engelamm problem is she's got this family hole in heart so big, she won't be happy until it's filled. what she doesn't realize, and i hope she eventually does, is that you carry family with you as long as you have friends and those that really care for you, around you. your skin folk, ain't necessarily your kin folk. i wish i could give some of mine back!

Best comment, I feel the same way. I say this, but my mother treated me like trash, couple of months ago, she passed away. Although I forgave her due to my Christian beliefs, it still hurts that someone that was my mother was so psychologically depraved and couldn't love me. But thank God for God and for others who gave me love. Yet I still believe this young lady was better off without this guy and her mom because they seemingly aren't taking responsibility for their actions.

Gidget Hrobowski I'm glad you forgave her. Forgiveness lifts a load off our own shoulders. I usually forgive people and keep my boundaries up, unless they go out of their way to do right consistently to stay in my life. But not many people will do that work after they do wrong, so I forgive and keep it moving.

He didn't even have to "ask" for the test, the child lived in the home with him. The father could've gotten the DNA test while the child was in his custody. She may have been a disrespectful child, but she had obviously been through a lot being in foster care and obviously having an unstable life with the mom, so he shouldn't have given up on her just to save his marriage. I can totally believe that this child was treated differently and felt like an outcast coming into this family and then she acted out. She should have been able to count on her father to love her through her difficult times. Sad.....

For those of you who want to know why she was in foster care and where the mother was, this show is not about that, it's about finding out who the daddy is. With that being said they were both to blame. Yes, he got her and took her home but he didn't get her the help she needed to adjust nor did he make sure the rest of the family was treating her the way she NEEDED to be treated. Instead of giving her back he needed to take the time to get her the help she needed to get over whatever she had gone through and to just love her where she was. Obviously because of his doubts he did just the bare, minimal basics for her and that only makes a child feel more unloved.

Please, start a new chapter. Look forward. Don't let yesterdays damage your tomorrows. Get to know your dad. Congratulations on your wedding. God bless you all.

People have ears but don't listen, have eyes but don't see.
There is alot to that story that has nothing to do with paternity court.
So much hate on the mother.
Didn't you'll hear from her mouth that she was a PROBLEM CHILD?
    Always in trouble?
What do you think happens when all a child does is problems.
Child services take them and put them in foster care.
She said again she wanted to change her life around and join the army.
She doesn't BLAME her mom because she knows she tried but blames the father because he could have try harder and not bring her back to foster care but back to her mom.
Don't hate or blame the mother.
I'm not blaming the lady for wanting attention we all did as kids.
You got ears listen with it.

I love how the judge keeps it real, but she is also compassionate.
