Canary islands have a volcano which collapses a major island into the ocean causing a megatsunami (its a actual possibility you can research it)
this megatsunami naturally would go to the east coast of the us, completely obliterate the surrounding canary islands, and severely damage the Portuguese and Sothern Spanish coastlines
think of the indian ocean tsunami but like 5 times worse, i think itll be a cool idea, happy new year!

Alcohol withdrawal in alcoholics is dangerous and potentially deadly. The government would need to set up and publicize a system of benzodiazepine substitution (or similar GABAergic replacement therapy) for those with an alcohol addiction, or else a fair number of people are inevitably going to consume the safest alcohol they can access.

I don't drink, but others here do - and we have wine....I'd be too afraid to dump it out...epoxy that cork shut, put em in a reasonably strong box, tape or lock that shut and just bury it somewhere in the woods...maybe years later when they want to make an anti-parasitic for it, I'd have the only effected wine from the time period, the sample they make the anti-parasitic from, that'd be cool.
