The time is 2PM. I am at My summer home at the Cape. I am playing this song to bring back memories of my younger days in Haiti. Haiti cherie I love you.
Many Thanks Tabou for making my upper teen years the most precious souvenir of my life. Only 50 haitian cents admission at the door every Saturday together with my first love Yolene! I also enjoyed "Eleve l'ecole" Oh my God... Thanks again Tabou.
Such beautiful memories that Tabou Combo brings me back to NYC, thank you all to these great musicians and especially Dadou Pasquet. There are three legendary Haitians guitarists that I admire and love and Dadou is one of them. ❤❤
The 2nd Bebe Paramount is my favorite song of all time! I've been getting goosebumps from this song since 1973. I was always amazed by the combination of shoubou, dadou pasquet, jean Claude jean, and Herman Nau. I always loved Adolf Chancys bass work on Minouche! Haiti was so beautiful and fun at this time.
Oh I so reminisce about my beautiful Haiti when you could walk out of your house, go to the movies or do some errands while leaving your door unlocked. Oh Haiti Cherie (darling) I miss you so.
As a Dominincan, It is undeniable that Tabou Combo really inspired Dominican merengue in the 1980's. This song itself was reproduced in Dominican Merengue. It is just superb.
And since then, Haitians declined in everything....I as an Haitian I am proud of taboo combo, johnny pacheco kassav, and others who have done so much for carbbean music
Je respecte les autres illustres guitaristes qui ont joué avec tabou mais il y a indéniablement un plus avec Dadou,un nectar exquis qui donne un goùt exceptionnel ,une couleur unique au son
There is no question about it these guys were the real deal. May God bless all of them including the ones that are no longer with us. Peace and prosperity to all !
Oh Jesus !!! Thank you for putting this on CZcams! This is my favorite Tabou Combo song to play. I can't find it anywhere. Neither this (The original .. I believe) or the newer version from the late 70's or early 80's. Where can I find a copy? EV
La belle époque ❤

Hope they were
Those were the best years of Haitian’s music. I don’t know what they’ve done after 1987. I guess rap took over?
