- Sonam Kapoor Ahuja gave AD India a tour of her tasteful London townhouse and her impeccably decorated office space. The actor’s colourful home, located in west London’s fashionable Notting Hill, is a nod to her sense of style, her personality as well as her roots; “I think your home and your office are a massive reflection of who you are as a person.” The 36-year-old shares her love for de Gournay wallpaper and her passion for collecting work that reminds her of home, while also giving AD a quick (and sneaky) peek of her husband Anand Ahuja’s floor.

Does she get a lot of hate for some reason? I'm not Indian so I don't know much about her but I got her 'what's in my bag video' recommended to me and thought she seemed charming but a lot of comments made it seem like she isn't that well-liked.

It’s amazing how much time and thought Sonam has put into each and every piece from wall coverings to lamps, it is probably the most artistic decor homes I have ever seen, so unique in style and yet so pleasing to the eye. I can understand why she wanted to bring in memories of India to feel close to home, a lot of us living overseas do that.

Being completely honest, Sonam does have great sense of stylimg. She wouldn't get hate if she did invest in her styling skills because it is REALLY GOOD

Loved Sonam's home, she is a creative passionate soul & rightly said by her " Home is the reflection of ones persona" . A home in Notting Hill is a absolute luxury, place of the rich n famous. Well, the house looks like a house and not a museum unlike other celebrity homes. I like the selection of wall papers and Indian touch and detailing in her furniture. She's got a good taste when it comes to fashion and decor no doubt.

One of the most absolutely gorgeous home interiors I’ve ever seen. Creative, artful, cultured, calming, dreamy soft hues…. I’m in design heaven. I’ve always admired her sense of style but OMG she could actually make a 2nd career out of this talent. What a visual treat ❤️

I like that it is a mix of styles/ furnishings. I love elephants and the pressed flowers. Those carved shutters framing the pressed flowers are ornate and interesting!

Oh my gosh, I am absolutely in love with the living room! it's exactly what I'd picture a very regal looking modern living space to look like. Love the colour contrast, the bright tones.. absolutely everything

Wow ! She should be a designer. She has taste, and look at those colors man, she put most prettiest colours together. It was designed by an Architect Rooshad Shroff, she did not do it by herself, as she mentioned everytime, It would have been nice to give a little credit to the designer.

Maybe I'm wrong but the 'homely warmth' is missing in her very articulate art-inspired 'HOME' .
That "naga table" isn't actually a table but a mortar. Those holes that you see are where you put the grains (or whatever) and you crush em with a long pestle. You'll find this kinda mortar and pestle in every village of Nagaland and even in the urban areas.

I loved the office space more than the home interiors ! It's a personal choice. And I love light coloured walls/ wall papers that gives way to a lot of sunlight. Somehow the home interiors were nice but so dramatic and bright that it looked too dark for my choice. But I appreciate the effort she has put in and the thought behind each and every piece !

Oh wow the drapes, furniture, and wallpaper are beautiful, everything is put together so effortlessly. Nostalgia is perfectly natural when you live abroad and having items remind you of your personality and roots is lovely.
Love that she has pieces from Indian artists too, many times Indian artists don't get the wages they need so celebrities commissioning them for work gets them the exposure they deserve.
I wonder how can someone live comfortably with so many stuff which are expensive and not worry about them getting broken.
You get used to it and you learn to maintain your stuff. The thing is that expensive furniture and items are made to last provided you maintain them well.

Its not easy to open your house for the fans and critics as its such a personal space.
But with this video, Sonam has humbly taken us through her house, yet shown her pride and joy for the work shes put into the interiors of her personal spaces in London over the past 2 years. Seems to be a new career prospect for Sonam in interior design. Also see how small the apartment is, but shes brought a lot of personality and liveability into it - example her bedroom which is tiny. Its a great video to give ideas to young couples who have tiny spaces to call their home. Lastly, you dont have to buy a vintage Pierre Jeanneret to copy her style - You can do your own styling - but this video provides great queues to freshen up your home like wallpapers, jewel themes, wall art, and use of timber, rattan and fabric for furniture.

Her home and office seem so authentic to her; it doesn’t seem like she’s trying to fabricate a space or have things around her for the sake of having them around because it’s trendy. Very much the opposite of any Kardashian-Jenner (who seem to style based things based on what’s cool or new for the sake of throwing money around).

It amazes me how when she joined the BW industry she was heavily criticized for her fashion sense and she took that criticism on the chin and turned it around and now she's the fashion icon. I don't think anyone can beat her style and fashion taste. At least that's my opinion

The house is quite beautiful. But I felt too many things in a small space, so they don't stand out, the things kind of lost their identity or uniqueness. Each and everything needs to be looked upon to know they are there. The house could have been a beautiful painting but over shadowed by the volume of things getting stacked in to it.
