In this episode, we will cover how to undergo CAC Name Substitution
The CAC name substitution or change of reserved or rejected name during business name registration is a very simple approach similar to the name reservation on the CAC portal.
Steps
i. All you need to do is to select Name Substitution while reserving the new name you would need or want to use to replace the current reserved name that was rejected during the business name registration.
ii. Next, you will also see an option to select the particular reserved name you want to change either by searching for the business name or using the availability code.
iii. Once the name substitution has been approved you can then continue you business registration and make all necessary edits then review and save.
iv. Finally visit the queried section and click on 'Mark as Resolved' in other to submit your updated business registration information/documents for a final review and approval.

Please I have this situation:
An agent commenced company registration, needed an approval from CBN to conclude it but the approval did not come before the availability expired and the agent has left the country (Japa). Another agent resubmitted the name for revalidation but CAC denied it so a new name was reserved but the former agent paid all the fees (filing & stamp duty) with the old name. How can the new agent utilize the previous payment for the new registration?

How long does it take for a name reserved to be approved
Usually within 3 days but it can get up to 2 weeks
How about in a situation where you were asked to justify the Name OSHASSOCIATION in the proposed name.
The name OSHASSOCIATION was the name i used for my clients business reservation, and i was asked to justify it. Please what does it mean and how do i resolve

@@GwritenmI didn't just use OSHASSOCIATION BUT OSHASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROMOTION as the business name reservation which have not been approved yet.
Now the meaning of OSHA is OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ASSOCIATION which have been used for Cac registration by a company.
Now for the reasons of not countering the registration name, I abbreviated it and added some difference as a business name.
Do I still need to do a name substitution?

Thank you. My question is this, my business name was approved, and I began the registration with a mistake in the proprietor's address, which I can't edit for a week now. This has increased my total payment to ₦35k with the error message that read : 1requeet restricted address. Now can I do name substitutions to correct this error start the business name registration afresh?
