I just made this, copying exactly - down to the KAM snap and the same placemat! I used a yellow gingham ribbon and I couldn't be more proud. Lorrie, thanks from the bottom of my heart for making your instructions so clear and giving us easy projects that even I can make!
I just finished making this using a $2.50 dish drying mat. Turned out great!! Thank you for sharing such easy to follow tutorials. Very much appreciated!!!

Hi Lorrie. I so enjoy watching your video tutorials. Especially these creative ways to use a quilted placemat. My Nieces birthday is coming up and I have purchased her a set of makeup brushes and eyeshadow pallets. She is 15 now and can start wearing more makeup. Thank you for all you do for all of us, it is always greatly appreciated. Most sincerely, Katz Baugh p.s. I watch CZcams videos on my husbands iPad.
Lorrie, I am a beginner, and found your instructions to be very easy for me. I plan to make some as Christmas gifts as a make-up holder. Thank you for the inspiration.
I couldn't believe it, I was in Walmart two days ago and they had gotten more of this exact placemat in. I missed them when they originally came out and you did your bag videos. I bought two, happy dance. Blessings.
I bought my wife a new Bernina sewing machine for Christmas but she hasn’t had time to do any sewing on it. We also have a Cricut Explorer and I saw your tutorial on CZcams for the Cricut tool holder so I decided to make one. Followed your instructions and it came out perfect. (This was also my first time sewing). Thanks
I have left over placemats from making the baskets that my family & friends love. I am heading to my sewing machine right now. I am going to make one for my diamond painting tools. Thanks ❤
Watched it last night & loved it! Made it in 5 minutes tonight & filled it w/my tools & packed it in my suitcase for the quilt fest in KC tomorrow! Thanks for sharing 🤗
Great for all my fiber art tools including my knitting needles and crochet hooks. Yours looks so nice. These are also great in kid themed for crayons, colored pencils and markers.
I love this and what a sweet project this will be to make and not only what an amazing gift for someone too. Thank you for sharing such a lovely idea. : )
I love the look of your placemat bags. Have you ever thought of doing a wheelchair placemat bag? I would love to be able to make one for the armrest of my wheelchair.
I am new to watching your videos. I Love Love Love them. Thank you so much. I bought my first place mats yesterday. I am going to make some make up bags. Your great.
Sharyn Hutchinson hmmm I’ve never had that happen. I’ll keep an eye out for that though. I always press really well to remove them and have never had any come back in the cold. I’ll experiment tomorrow and put the pouch in the fridge
Probably wouldn’t be a problem with this project though. Once I used a Frixion pen to mark a quilt for quilting. All the marks came off with the iron after I quilted. I left the quilt in the car on a cold night and they came back. YIKES! I repressed and they were gone luckily. 😊
Sharyn Hutchinson, What happens if you wash the quilt? Do the frixion marks wash away? Or do they still re-appear? Had you already washed the quilt before you left it in the cold car? I’ve heard of them re-appearing in the cold and I live in a cold climate, but no one ever mentions whether washing solves the problem or not.
Hi Lorrie, when do you buy your placemats? Everytime I check Walmart, they NEVER have the PW placemats... I've even checked on line & still no luck! Time to find an alternate quilted placemat. I love the zipper bag you demonstrated a while back!
where did you get the snap tool set . I have been looking for that exact one but have not been able to locate one. Love your tutorials . Everything you make is useful and usually easy. thanks
What size sewing machine needle would you use? It is a really clear tutorial, I am hoping to make one for my daughter who is about to start her 1st job involving field work.
