Rambo had a better ending for the character. Last Blood was a pointless sequel that was never needed.
Interesting topic, Rambo 2008 easily wins for me even though I enjoy both films even despite Last Blood’s many problems.
Rambo 4 was the better film. It was more impactful, more visceral, fast-paced. Rambo 4 was a great conclusion. Rambo 5 was just like you said a cash grab. Aside from a few minutes in tunnels during the finale that's not bad it's a forgettable movie and was utterly pointless. Great job with topic.
I enjoy all the Rambo movies, but Rambo 2008 is my second favorite film in the franchise after First Blood. Love that movie to death, especially the EPIC third act, but Last Blood is easily the weakest film in the franchise IMO.
I had heard a rumour that they were planning on doing a Rambo prequel , a sort of orgins story. I heard it was going to go back to his time in Vietnam. Obviously it would be a younger actor or maybe to the de-aging thing they did in The Irishman.
it's so sad that so many great franchises are ruined by a pointless add-on.

18:53 Me neither plus whenever Rambo did those type of scenes like in 3 films in the 80's we never knew where Rambo was going to pop up or where has traps was set up at in ''Last Blood'' despite being gorey like a slasher film didn't much of a impact to it when compared to the first 3 films IMHO.

I've seen all 5 films tbh I prefer the first 3 films over 4 and 5 I liked 4 when it came out but I tried to watch it recently and I didn't like it as much as the first 3 and I saw 5 in theatre and I thought it was bad
I prefer Rambo and think Last Blood was unneeded BUT I will say I still don't mind the movie. I do admit that I like it a lot because what the movie stands for (the sex trafficking). Whether Hollywood makes a good or bad movie and it covers and brings attention to sex trafficking, I'm for it. I can't hate this movie when it brought many eyes to the topic.

Last blood is in my top ten worst films I've ever seen. I agree with everything you said. I really didnt care about the girl. She made dumb decisions. nowhere near as good as the others.

13:58 This seemed like Stallone wanted to play to ''Mr.Majetyk'' which at one point years ago he wanted to remake that Bronson flick along with ''Death Wish'' to me he pretty much took those 2 Bronson 70's flicks put them in a meatgrinder and to keep this film from going to VOD slapped John Rambo name on it which didn't work at all for me.

I don't get why Rambo III is hated. It's as good as the second film, imo, and way better than Rambo: Taken Blood. The last one was not a Rambo film and I have no idea why Stallone made it. The song by The Doors was cool, though.
@@johnrambo1304 I don't give a toss about the politics. It's just an entertaining actioner. I think Stallone takes it all way too seriously.
Rambo 2008 is tied with Rambo 3 for the most underrated Rambo movie. I think Rambo 3 is a bit better but they're both awesome.

Rambo 5 is your typical Lionsgate film shot in Romania/Bulgaria because they didn't want to cross the border and actually film it all in Mexico lol

Speaking of Over the Top it's better than Last Blood.
Last blood is a taken movie. Not a Rambo movie. Rambo 2008 is the true ending for the character.
