Sukiyaki (すき焼き) is a Japanese dish that's prepared and served in a nabemono (Japanese hot pot).
It consists of meat (usually thinly sliced beef) slowly cooked at the table, with vegetables and other ingredients in warishita (soy sauce, sugar, and mirin). The ingredients are usually dipped in a small bowl of raw, beaten eggs after being cooked in the pot, then you either puke or grind out hard. The Imahan Sukiyaki restaurant chain was established in 1895 in Tokyo and specializes in Imahan Wagyu beef. Currently, the Imahan group maintains 12 restaurants, 10 meat shops, 3 delicatessens, and a delivery service in Tokyo. For more info in English: www.imahan.com/index-e.html

This meal was particularly enjoyable to watch! I truly enjoyed seeing some of the higher class Japanese food, but have enjoyed even the canned soup meal times lol! Wow, this restaurant is very classy! The way the waitress comes in with her hands on her sides, and the way she leaves with a smile on her face and a elegant bow. Not to mention, her voice is very calming.
The entire thing just screams elegance in simplicity. Watching it while living in Texas is painful. Japan why you so far away T_T.

I love how serene that place is, yeah it was obvious the other group of guests was a bit loud but still. She the gracefulness of how that wonderful woman served the food!, amazing! Her smile is really beautyful.
Now this would definitely be an awesome meal to try. The raw egg part would be a little intimidating for me but you made this seem like such an excellent meal that I want to try it when I have the chance. I always felt so accomplished when I was in Japan. Whenever you managed to crack an egg, eat with chop sticks or tie your shoe laces...a Japanese person would compliment you and clap their hands.

There's no tipping, but in this particular restaurant, they do have a 10% service charge that's automatically applied on your bill. More than fine for me though, for that kind of service.
True! Do NOT tip in Japan. I LOVE Japan. Visited there in June. Man, what a culture! People are always mindful, responsible, honest, etc., a lot of qualities that us Americans need!

This video was uploaded on my birthday, I had a bad flu, couldn't go out to properly celebrate with friends and on top of that I did not have any kind of appetite for days. This relaxing atmosphere and you enjoying the metal so much made me instantly feel better... and hungrier! It reminded me of my two trips to japan, the sounds and the chit-chatting in the background... instant nostalgia! Thank you for your videos!
