DKY about private school fees your hundred percent right, and what kill me a lot is their books. I have two kids, one in class four, and one in class three, but this term alone i bought books alone more than three thousand, why?
😅😅😅😅😅 DKY for the private schools the government cannot regulate their fees because of the taxes they pay. The government has divided the schools into 3 categories, i.e., the kindergarten, the primary and the JHS. At each level the schools are charged a certain amount irrespective of the number of students enrolled. Beside this is the regular taxes they pay as businesses. If a school charges gh s 3000 per child a term,....People will argue that it's too much and stuff but remember if a teacher is paid GHS 1500 a month,at the end of the term that teacher takes more than the school fees of one student . And there are other obvious costs such stationary and some schools offer health insurance ,free accommodation, free breakfast and lunch for its staff ,all these to maintain their teachers. On vacations teachers are being paid whereas no work is done and no fees collected ,all to maintain them. So bear with the private schools wai,😉😘some collapsed after the lockdown, they couldn't pick up again.
