- This is my review and load out of my Veto Tech Pac MC , I went to this bag to downsize what I carry every day. I was previously using the Tech Pac Blackout edition and I'm not getting rid of the big bag I just needed something smaller ASAP and I ordered this.

Chris, if its a troubleshooting bag , keep it as light as possible, down to the tape measurer: take that big one out of the bag and replace it with the 3ft tiny one , its fine for most days and if you need a longer tape just go get it from the van.
Same with the impact : keep the 4.0 battery for the big repairs bag , keep a 2.0 in that smaller bag.
Trust me it really does make a difference.
Hope you get better mate 🤜🤛
I like this new channel and the concept of it. It so nice to see that there are different guys testing the same things. Please keep up this nice work! With the best regards from Germany, Tobias
Love your videos man! I’ve been in primarily residential hvac for the last 6-7 years but watching your videos help to keep me informed about the issues out there when I do run commercial calls
I like how they move the bit pockets to the back because that is where your drill/driver goes.
I agree with you about the front flap ( originally for Manifold guages , but handy for all sorts of stuff ) .
Great video! Thank you!
I also have neck problems from my Veto LC. I have mild arthritis in my neck from a 1 shoulder bag.
Sits low on back u need to pull straps up to raise it up higher,,,great bags or maybe get the new wheeler you will love it mine arrived and the build quality is top notch again and the ability to change the liners ect
I keep my roll up wrench organizer in that front pouch. I do more machine work so I need all my wrenches with me. Easy to take out if I don’t need it on the job
They have a Klein insulated reversible flat head /Phillip head screw driver like 16 bucks at the Home Depot
I had a pinched nerve, it hurt for months. I ended up going to physical therapy they gave me some stretches that I would do at home and I was back to normal in a couple weeks. Take care of yourself.
I carry just bare essentials now. Still use an open Klein bag but it weights maybe 15 pounds now vs 40 or so in the younger days. As my experience went up my tool usage went down.
Wow me too i carry less tools after 30 yrs doing this. . Seems like the more experience the less tools. Ha😄
Those metal loops on the upper shoulder pads are to hang the metal buckle so it’s not dangling on the ground when you open the bag
I started with a single large Tech-Pac back in 2021 but quickly figured out it was too heavy to lug around. Last Christmas hit a sale at a local veto dealer and got the MC-LT and MCT for half list price. I use the MC-LT as a diagnostic bag because it carries my iPad, the MCT I haven't found a use for but probably end up putting some specialized tools into. And hoping to snag the XL WHEELER when it comes out, not sure what for, but can't have enough veto bags. :)
It's crazy to hear you talk about 38 like it's old. You should still be so functional.
In Construction years that's okd
Trying to decide between the smaller mc or the full sized tech pac. Great addition to the video with the side by side comparison.
I usually use the small bag for hand tools like you are, and then I keep all my refrigeration plumbing tools in the big tech pack , cause you don’t take it as much. Seems to work out good for me. I also have a neck issue.
I got the new tippy XXL love veto tool bags they are worth the money. I like the new model cuz it has meter bags built into it.
Dude, this is the biggest frustration for me. I have a Dewalt bag for basic diagnosis for food equipment and it's a struggle to determine what to keep and get rid of. I also have an electricians vest that I get to struggle with as well.
I am 62 and I know what you mean to down size. I do hvac which includes oil gas electric equipment some timed I wonder if I should have chosen a different profession. I love working with my hands. Two back operations ,two torn rotor cuffs and a torn quadricep only 5 more years to go LOL
Very cool bag 💼 I like the little bag
Great idea !
I love that front pouch too, don't know why they wouldn't include it
Ive been rocking the tpxl ( aka the tipover) for my everyday bag and its been pretty good i ditched the backpack found it pulled weird on the neck no matter how much weight was in it
Love my tech pac backpack but I have the regular mc bag for service I still use the mb2 for small walk up calls
You are learning to work smarter and not harder
I would of liked to seen a runway walk with it on like a Zoolander scene "Its walk off, Walk off" just kidding thanks for the review.. I've never owned a Veto bag nice to see all new from scratch thanks..
I like that front pocket on my Tech Pac also
I already have an original tec pac and a tp5b. This is going to be my next purchase from veto for the exact same reasons. I find myself putting way to much in my big bag 🤷🏻♂️😂
I bought the mc months ago. It never sat or felt right on my lower back. Now it just sits in my closet gathering dust.
Got that same Bag with the laptop back even tho I don’t carry a laptop i can fit tools and iPad in the big pocket
Nice review. I have looked at the bags well made but have never had the urge to try one. Have always used the CLC Maintenance bag (H85-563) I think from Johnstone Supply , It used to have the plastic tray in a pouch in the bottom , now its on the side. I can fit everything your blackout has in it for much less. They make a smaller one that tips 100% of the time I don't recommend that one . But why go with the backpack I've never understood?
I considered it when I bought my second backpack. However, I just try and stay aware of how much I put in it.
My impactor sits in the front for immediate access. Also on the older Tech Pac's the bits are in the front. Chris, find someone looking to trade in an older pack. Not I thought. Lol
Yeah I went for the smaller backpack also because of the weight
I love my mc works great.
I would do a comparison of the dtek stratus vs dtek3.
I've had neck/shoulder problems for years. Had to stop using backpacks altogether. Guys that carry a heavier bag always slung over the same shoulder may run into the same problems.
I agree, my Veto bag is heavy empty and with all my favorite tools inside weights in around 35 lbs and I get red marks all over my shoulder when I wear the shoulder strap. I did switch shoulders frequently but actually switched back to a 5 gallon bucket with Husky bucket cady and found oversized handles on Fle-bay so the handles don't dig into my fingers. I do large commercial HVAC work and generally use a hand truck to wheel my tool buckets within reasonable distance of the equipment i work on. I pack super light when having to walk long distance across a roof
After 25 years,I bring a meter, 6 in 1,and my knipex! That's it,if I need more I'll get it when I go grab the parts!
The bigger the bag, the more stuff you are going to fill it up with. I have a Fieldpiece Bag and it’s like carrying my assistant around! Give the MC a good shot at being your service bag.. I will help your neck and back. Thanks for the review! 👍
I like it!
Nice tool bag
Good bag
I ordered this bag a few months ago and sold my larger tech pac, I was carrying way to much and it was causing me to have back problems I'm 36 and don't need back, knees and feet problems,
Would it be too much to ask if you can video tape the inside of the MRI super machine?
I want to get a veto backpack but how tight do you have to get when climbing the ladders with the cage on them?
Could you show us wearing it to compare the size better ?
I just bought a tech pac!!!
I miss the original layout of the tec pac as well, worked out I it for 6 years. I bought the new one and sold it because I just couldn't get it right
Just ordered one of these for my dad. He’s had similar issues. Give us an update couple months down the road on how you like it. I might have to switch as well!!
He’s got the Klein bag. That thing is a piece of work after a year or so.
I believe those are Milwaukee crimpers.
How much weight can it take? could sit on it for work?
HELL YES !!!!!!!!!
these look great but is it really worth buying a bag worth more money than the sum price of all my tools carried inside it? plus i work in london where tool theft is a routine
Hello Chris hope you're doing well. Two years later how its the MC holding on? On July I will be seven and I want to treat myself to a Veto Tech MC. Any sugestions?
Is it tall enough to fit a decent hammer?
Wait when you get 52 like me and carries tools I’m looking for a lightweight back pack pack and veto still too heavy for me
I have the klein backpack. It's pretty nice also..so far. These vetos are real nice though.
Yeah the Klein bags that I (chris) have seen are all floppy, the Vetos seem much more stable to me
I use klein bag for resi and light commercial refrigeration, it works well, and I keep smart probes and pipe clamps in the hard shell pocket.
@@chainoflakesrefrigerationa2906 it's working pretty well so far. It holds a ton of stuff. Almost too much. Gotta figure out what I need to take up with me every time.
Can you give me the internal dimensions of the bag? I would need to fit a 16” long hacksaw inside.
Are there any European equivalents for this? It looks super useful compared to the crap I've been using but they dont seem to have any dealers in Europe :(
Those crumpets look like Milwaukee.
wait until 60 comes around
That big pouch on the back always gets caught on ladder cages and anything else
Can you do suggestions on work boots for hvac?
Redwing or Danner made in USA
🤦♂️ 5:45 we’ve all only been saying that since the beginning .
