- Vancouver Island is a biodiverse haven teeming with a huge variety of wildlife, offering a captivating blend of coastal marvels, ancient forests, and diverse ecosystems.
The coastal waters surrounding Vancouver Island are a thriving ecosystem, home to a vast array of marine life. Orca and Humpback Whale steal the show, their graceful movements enchanting all who witness their presence.
Venture inland, and you'll find yourself immersed in the island's untamed wilderness. Towering old-growth forests, draped in moss and ferns, harbor a diverse population of wildlife. Black bears roam through these ancient woodlands, foraging for food amidst the towering trees and rocky shorelines.
I hope you enjoy this hour-long narrated documentary showcasing the incredible wildlife that graces the landscapes of Vancouver Island.

A brilliant film. I am a recently retired member of the Canadian Coast Guard, based in Victoria, and have plied the waters of the B.C. coast all my life. You have captured the essence of our lower Inside Passage with a keen eye. Thank you.
Thanks for comment. I bet you have seen many orca and humpback in your time as a Coast Guard! Can't wait to return to your country one day :)
I loved this! I live here and never tire of seeing our wildlife. Believe me when I say I am so thankful to live in a place where there's still healthy habitat left for these wonderful animals.
Agreed, your managed land to natural landscape ratio is crazy compared to the UK!
After years of traveling to Vancouver Island, nothing has captured the beauty of it all so perfectly! Thank you!
Thanks Lynne, very kind words! :)
This is where I live, there is so much to photograph here, so many hidden gems, so much to see and experience.
this is where I live as well - we are sooo lucky!

TY. FOR BRINGING TH ISLAND BACK !!!
One Understands the Balance of Nature!!!
Good ID on the river otter as opposed to the sea otter. The sea otter has a longer tail and swims stomach down, the sea otter has a short tail and swims on it`s back. Nice video. T Y from Vancouver, Canada.
A beautiful film. Thank you from a Vancouver Island resident.
Thanks Georgia!
Absolute scenes
I've really enjoyed your film - it's as good as anything I've seen on TV this year. Wonderfully relaxed style, I wish you well for the future.
Thanks Peter :)

Wowwww!!
Superb film. So many great encounters
Thanks Jason 😎
Hello . . . I have never seen *our* orca caught as you have filmed and edited.
#SalishSea I am blessed to live on the shores of the PNW BC SouthCoast Salish Sea
and open water swim here, in part, ... not winter haha. I SO hope you create various
SHORT vids and use the right hashtags as they will go viral I assure you. Even if you do no voiceover or at a minimum with just their calling song I am certain many people will find their way to your channel.
Of course that is also a lot to do with the infamous YTube algo.
New subscriber. Thank you for sharing.
WELCOME to CANADA! CHEERS from S.W. Vancouver ISLAND!!!

Absolutely incredible hezzer!!
Thanks Kit!
Great stuff Henry!
Cheers Mike :)
Lovely video. Didn’t seem like the kayaker was far enough away from the orcas though?
Thanks. It's just the perspective as it was filmed at 900mm, he was much further than he looked!
Sorry if I missed it somewhere in the video, but what time of year were you there? Looks so beautiful 🤩
Hey! We were in BC end of July & beginning of August :)
Where Tabby and Tim? Brilliant Henry!
What a beautiful film we just came back from this area, you really did it justice. We live in Vancouver B.C., and we love visiting these places when we can, thanks
Thanks Kathy, you’re so lucky to live so close! 😎
Curious why Departure Bay to Campbell River took you 4 hours??
Fair question, we stopped off at Walmart and another place on the way!
42:33 looks like a blue whale to me
It sure was big, but definitely a humpback :)
are there no black people in canada?
😂😂😂
Hahahah,…and I live around here and see them for free.Hahahahhhh.
Thanks!
Thank you Patsy, glad you enjoyed!
Thanks!
Congratulations! Your story telling and cinematography is excellent. An ex-Brit myself, I have sailed and kayaked these waters for over thirty years and have witnessed the same sights but never in such a short time span!
Wishing you all the best with your YT Channel and you have earned a subscriber.
Hi Sue, thanks so much for thee superthanks! We did see a lot in the two weeks we were out there, but also spent a large proportion of each day looking for stuff. Can't wait to revisit someday!
