    The 5gram Britannia is a stunner... that is an awesome piece and I bought one myself. Even the card it comes in is very tasteful and nice. The 5gram size is very nice size too. Not too small or big. And the silver Luna & Lion bar also is a winner. I think with items like that you'd have an easier time moving them if the time came. Because they veer into the realm of art. We're no longer just buying bullion but something that has real aesthetic appeal, and people will seek out and pay more for that.

    Good video. I find the Royal Mint a relative bargain. Just ordered a 2022 gold Sovereign and it was about ~$40 over spot and free shipping across the pond. Right now, ASE are ~$13 premium and a 1/4 oz AGE is a deal at $70-75 over spot. I love the Platinum Jubilee design and I’ll probably get a double sov and some of the other years.
    We can buy gold Britannia’s (new design is absolutely stunning) at about the same as offered by the mint, maybe a bit less on sale. Everything is relative, but so far I’m impressed with them.

    Royal mint is sound of you live in uk. When you purchase you know it is legal and the real thing. You might buy cheaper elsewhere but risk being ripped off.
    Royal mint bullion coins are good.
    I think proof coins in the short term not such a good investment.
    You can’t go wrong with gold sovereigns or gold or silver Britannia’s.
    Your good bars from royal mint look good. I think you could do well to have a few silver bullion coins as well as those 007 or Una bars
    Buying from Canadian mint I think would be costly from you. Austrian mint though sounds more economic.

  • @happyhippo4664
    @happyhippo4664 Před 2 lety +4

    I live in USA and I have never bought from the RM directly. I do buy RM products from US retailers. I've wondered if it would be cheaper to buy directly but I always assume the shipping would bite me. I also wonder if the package would survive all the hands touching it before it gets here. In US, free shipping is usually at $200 purchase level. So I tend to buy $200 at a time. Of course, if I buy 1/4 gold or 10 oz silver, the purchase price will be more. I always wondered how the beautiful 1 oz silver Brittannias can be among the cheapest coins in the US. Are they dirt cheap in the UK?

    • @FutureInvestmentsBullion
      @FutureInvestmentsBullion  Před 2 lety

      It’s difficult to say regarding shipping but I believe it would cost your more then normal which then would eat into your bar purchase cost. They are not cheap over here in the UK, nor are they expensive. I would say the pricing is fair and accurate in relation to the spot price. I would love some American pieces myself also!

    • @FutureInvestmentsBullion
      @FutureInvestmentsBullion  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Premium is what the bullion dealers add on to make their profits. They buy it at spot price and sell with premium. And no, it won’t hurt the value if you hold it with your hands.

      i have a question about the S&P 500. if i invest £100 in the Stock Market is it possible to lose more than the £100 i invested is the stock doesn't do good or another reason?

  • @pilkinn
    @pilkinn Před 2 lety

    For investment there is no reason to pay the premium from RM. A good bullion dealer will always give you a better deal and as long as you use a well established company there is little to no risk at all. Buy cast bars in reasonable liquidate-able weights - just save up until you can afford them. No point investing in small bars or small coins as you'll have to wait a very long time to get any yield. If you're a collector then buy what appeals to you but don't expect to get better prices when you come to sell them. Gold is gold is gold and gold dealers will only look at the amount of actual gold and will ignore that fact that it's a nice looking coin or that it has a nice design on it.

    • @FutureInvestmentsBullion
      @FutureInvestmentsBullion  Před rokem +1

      No problem Ella. So premium is the extra price that bullion dealers who sell gold and silver add on the make there profits.
      Spot price is the current flat rate price of silver and gold so it gives you a guide of what it’s currently worth.
      However when you buy Gold or Silver, Platinum or Palladium from any reputable bullion dealer company they will inevitably add there “Premium on top of the spot price” so they can make a profit. They vary so I would advise shopping around and finding a dealer that you like the reputation of and price of their metals. Thankyou for watching.
