I just love the safety culture, because it's all total bullshit and everybody knows it. Anybody who goes to their boss to report a safety violation will be blackballed, harassed, threaten, fired, or even set up for an on the job injury or death. I've never seen any place that actually takes safety precautions seriously.
Is it really that bad in the US? Here in Europe we generally take safety very seriously and you're the one that risks getting fired if you don't follow the safety. Because it's important to keep the flow of the work place going. At least that's how it mostly is here, obviously there will be outliers.
