Those F59PHI diesel engines were from Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner and that horn is for metra’s F40PH’s.
That's interesting, though I'm questioning how one ended up on a F59
Metra swaps horns on their locomotives frequently, it was only a matter of time before one ended up on a F59PHI
First 83 gets a P5 and now 74, well then
They’re getting that MP36PH’s treatment with the horns some having k5la’s and some P5’s or P5A’s.
I was wondering when these locomotives would start getting the P5 treatment. This, along with 83 might be the first time I've ever heard any of these F59PH/PHI locomotives to have something other than a Nathan K5 mounted on top of these locomotives.
