The thing to shoot was very popular at my school.
Fifteen years ago, we built it with a balloon and a plastic bottle.
We called it the "tube".
It is powerful and very dangerous.
The Pocket shot is what we call Glove guns. 25 years ago we used PVC pipe with the finger from a washing-up glove tapped to the end to fire rocks, BB's and makeshift arrows.
I once made a cannon version out of 5" pipe and a swimming-cap!
VR goggles are never gonna be a thing until they get MUCH thinner. I'm pretty sure.
