OMG!! This man thought of EVERYTHING!! These will be some happy quail. Nancy, I know you're proud. He even installed a humidifier!. Yes, some happy healthy birds. Makes some tasty meat. I do remember that much. Congratulations to you both. I hope those with very limited space has been paying close attention. Quails and rabbits, don't require a lot of space. But, good detail to be happy and healthy. You got 5 videos here to get going. I'm hoping my grandchildren are paying attention. I'm watching this again.. Lol, this is better, than the old Sears catalog.. Peace

Nice to see the completed quail processing plant after watching the steps and builds to get to the point where all that is left is to "farm" the quail. The homestead looks great and can hardly wait to see the crops and animals providing for you and family...good job! God bless and keep you and yours safe and healthy in these troubled times.

Very nice system, my wife and I raised Quil in the past to train our bird dogs since we have retired and no longer bred dogs or hunt anymore, we released the few birds we had and they went on the have clutches in the wild on our farm. Ruth used to call them and feed them what grain we had, believe it or not, they use to follow Ruth around when she would call them. Very great experience. Wish you well and God Bless.

I like that you're separating the eat vs. breed stock. Inbreeding 3 gens produce quail chicks that can't stand up. (Swish around like frogs).
If you have raccoons, you might lock in the catch tray to stop the raccoons from pulling it free and pulling the quail legs thru, maiming the birds in horrible ways.

Two tips I got off other vlogs Are Buy small coloured zip ties for the quail legs A different colour of zip ties for different batches of quail So it's easy to keep track of their ages. On a different vlog A man said, You can sex the quail By the shape of the eggs Before you put them the incubator So you can get a lot of female chicks He said the round shaped eggs produce female chicks And the pointed ones make male He also said, The pointed end of the male egg If you run your finger over the pointed end you should feel something like a minute thorn That is usually too small to see He has had 100% success with this method I have tried it yet I take delivery of my quails next week

Why do you use wood for processing table top instead of stainless steel which would be more sanitary? I don’t even use wood cutting board to cut raw meat.

Do you know what stainless costs? Besides, butchering a chicken and butchering a quail are two different things. with quail you can actually field dress them right there on the table and it would be totally sanitary.
